For the last year or so, virologist and infectious diseases expert Dr. Steven Quay has been at the forefront of questioning the narrative of COVID-19’s origin, conducting studies, and analyzing the genetic properties that make up the viral strain that has sent the world into panic for the last 18 months. In Sunday’s Wall Street Journal Quay and UC Berkeley physics professor Richard Muller make an extremely strong, scientifically-based case that SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for the COVID-19 infection, is a lab-created viral strain.

On Monday, Deutsche Bank released a report that further confirms a portent of doom for the U.S. economy and Democrats led by President Joe Biden. While many economists and policymakers claim that the recent uptick in inflation is temporary, Deutsche Bank warned that Biden’s profligate spending, the Federal Reserve’s low interest rates, and global economic trends threaten to unleash persistent inflation, which amounts to an insidious tax on the poor and middle class that benefits the government.
“Few still remember how our societies and economies were threatened by high inflation 50 years ago,”

President Joe Biden claimed Wednesday that the greatest threat to America was global warming in a speech to American troops in the United Kingdom.
Biden asked the nations of the world to commit to “ambitious climate action” to stop climate change and stop the world from warming no more than 1.5 degrees celsius.
Biden claimed that when he was elected as vice president with President Barack Obama, the Joint Chiefs of Staff told them that global warming was the greatest threat to the United States.
“The military sat us down and let us know what the greatest threats facing America were, the greatest physical threats,” Biden recalled. “This is not a joke.

The governor of Iowa signed a bill into law banning critical race theory in the state, declaring the Hawkeye State will not teach "discriminatory indoctrination."
Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, a Republican, signed House File 802 into law on Tuesday, codifying the state’s stance against teaching "specific defined concepts," such as the widely controversial critical race theory.
Critical race theory teaches students to look at American society and history through a racial lens and views race itself as a relatively recent social construct that is weaponized by dominant groups to oppress others.

On Wednesday, First Liberty Institute General Counsel Mike Berry participated in the Department of Defense’s (DOD) Countering Extremism Working Group (CEWG). Berry, a former active-duty Marine Corps officer, told PJ Media that the meeting confirmed some of the fears he had expressed in March, specifically about how the military’s crackdown on “extremism” threatens service members’ free speech.
Back in March, Berry testified that “those who would use, threaten, or advocate violence to accomplish their [political] objectives” should have no place in the ranks. Yet he also insisted, “We should reject any attempt to weaponize anti-extremism efforts against classes of people simply because those in authority disapprove of them.”

I’m the child of two Ph.D. professors, so I learned early on that, while they might use their titles in academia when teaching, they generally didn’t use it in any other aspect of their lives. It was commonly understood that it wasn’t done.
So we come to Jill Biden, who insists on being called “Doctor” outside of her community college, even with the lesser Ed.D degree. Most in academia would giggle at how pretentious that is (if it wasn’t Jill Biden). Her ‘position paper’ for her degree was also not exactly a sterling piece of work.
It’s sad, really. As Joe Biden explained it, she wanted the credential for its sake alone.

Joe Biden, who of late has been putting on his anti-racism skin suit, and lecturing America about all its past racial transgressions, declaring America no better today than its Jim Crow era, ought to take a closer look at what's going on at home.
According to the Daily Mail:
Hunter Biden used the n-word multiple times in conversation with his white, $845-per-hour lawyer, his texts messages reveal.
The shocking texts may prove embarrassing for his father President Joe Biden, who just last week gave a speech decrying racism on the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa massacre, and has sought to portray racial justice as a top priority for his administration.

Why are woke Democrats waging a war on women? Joe Biden is embracing a particularly disturbing term for women who give birth. While most of us call these women ‘mothers’, the woke insist on a new terminology- birthing people. Just when we think the destruction of the English language can’t get any worse, someone says “Hold my beer.”
Joe Biden’s FY2022 budget, a $6 trillion monstrosity, addresses the maternal mortality rate in the United States. The section begins by using traditional wording such as maternal and woman. Then toward the end, there is a shift to gender neutral language.

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) stated that during negotiations over an infrastructure package, “we offered the president basically what he asked us to do the first time we met with him, which was a trillion dollars over eight years, including baseline spending.” And that despite Republicans drawing a red line on tax increases, “the last offer that I got from the president had four tax increases in it.”
Capito said, “Well, the president ended the talks today with me on a very cordial call. I am extremely disappointed. Because we offered the president basically what he asked us to do

Several weeks ago I read a wonderful column by my old pal Gerry Baker of the Wall Street Journal. It was titled, “Did Biden Peak on Inauguration Day? Covid confusion, Mideast chaos and the threat of inflation — He doesn’t have many victories to point to.” That question is reinforced by the Journal’s Kim Strassel, in a column Friday titled “Biden’s Agenda Hits a Senate Wall: The Parliamentarian nixes Schumer’s plan to evade the filibuster via ‘reconciliation.’” Much of the economic and stock market outlook for the remainder of this year and next would be determined by responses to these questions.

Joe Biden’s top priority since passing his economy-crushing boondoggle of a COVID “relief bill” has been to get an infrastructure package done. The problem is that the filibuster exists, and while Joe Manchin was willing to push through the first monstrosity via reconciliation, he’s said he doesn’t want to do that again. That means that Republican votes are almost certainly going to be needed to get anything done.
Enter West Virginian Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, who has been acting as the chief negotiator for the GOP regarding the matter. Capito is now saying that Joe Biden has blown up negotiations after initially asking Republicans to submit a $1 trillion
