Coke is too “woke” for one North Carolina county’s government. Surry County has voted to ban all Coca-Cola vending machines in its office buildings over backlash to the Atlanta-based soft drink maker’s criticism of new restrictive Georgia voting laws. “The left wing in America, they defund, they boycott, they cancel, they tear down statues—all sorts of egregious actions,” Eddie Harris, a county commissioner, told WXII in a video interview. “The expectation from them is the opposing political side will cower in the corner and we’re supposed to accept that and it’s supposed to be OK. And it’s not OK.”

I certainly have not bought a Coke, or any Coca Cola owned product, since they came out woke and sanctified. Nor will I ever again.

Love it when conservatives actually fight back. Will this action change the world? Nope, but hopefully other wishy-washy Republicans might grow a spine and follow suit. Actions have consequences.

That's how you fight the Socialistic businesses. If a dozen or more counties would do this, business in general would get the message. That's all it takes.

Good on Surry County. Perhaps we who are fed up with woke/cancel cultures are the ones who must pressure OUR local leaders to follow suit, and on many levels. It IS up to us to become active, even if only a phone call or message to those WE put in office in our own neighborhoods. Start there, move up, push back.

Right after Coke came out as "woke" I wrote them and said I'd be less white when they were less stupid. I ended my letter by telling them to P!55 up a rope. I got a form letter back that tried to back pedal some.
I'm not buying that and haven't bought a coke product since.

The CC position is a prime example of why businesses should serve customers and stay outta politics.

Right up the road a bit from MCAS Cherry Point and Camp LeJeune, #11. Multiple family members and friends have lived around there over the years.

Pepsi is no better. I remember Pepsi CEO Indra Nooyi's 2005 remark about a Republican president and a middle finger. Haven't even looked at Pepsi since. As capmarineTet68 used to say, "Scroom."
Instead drink Scotch whisky. My brand is Lagavulin 16-yr-old. Unfortunately, the stuff is so doggoned expensive, I can only afford a shot on holidays. But I'm glad the stuff is produced, even if most of it (99.99999%) is drunk my other than myself. Oh, phooey.
Churchill and a close aide, a mathematician, were enjoying a drink in an intimate English bar when the great man wondered how much booze he had drunk in his entire life. His friend took in some drinking statistics, looked at the dimensions of the room, and did some figuring. The total amount Churchill had imbibed wouldn't quite fill the bar. But, looking around, the great man still had something to aspire to. My favorite man whose life overlapped with mine!

One other thing: if you like a good cola, try Royal Crown Cola (RC), if you can find it. And have a Moon Pie (chocolate over a cake and marshmallow sandwich from Chattanooga, Tennessee), its natural perfect accompaniment. (RC is pronounced ah-ra-CEE.)

Rare; NC overall went blue years ago because of the influx of relocated Northeasterners who hate the South but like the lower taxes.
