Welcome back, Carter.
Anyone want to party like it’s 1979? Okay, at least in 1979 we weren’t locked down, masked up, and socially distanced. But, other than that, there wasn’t much to celebrate. The economy was in the tank, inflation was rampant, gas lines were long, daubers were down, and no one in the White House knew what to do about any of it. A new term had to be coined for something thought impossible/oxymoronic…”stagflation.” Yes, even as the economy was slowing down, inflation was rampant, an unprecedented pairing of economic indicators.

I thought stag-flatiron was Gerald Ford’s line and “malaise” was Carter’s....

America wasn't "woke" in 1979.

The article sites the current jobs status as "rising unemployment in a time of acute labor shortage." Only a Marxist could achieve that.
Liberals would f-up a one car funeral.

Things are worse now than under Carter. Traditional morality has collapsed. And the Left has become more tyrannical.

Carters results were the result of incompetence and ill formed idealism of old liberals and sixties radicals who may or may not have comprehended the Marxist underpinnings of their agenda. Biden is a mere figurehead for the very deliberate Marxist radicals whose committee includes Obama Kerry PIAPS , Ayers long term Rockefeller Bush Romney globalists, the CCP owned and funded Oligarchs. They hate America, freedom and God.
This cancer is far more dangerous than Carter.

Biden likes to pretend he is the second coming of FDR. But, even FDR managed to do things right on occasions. It was only after the news reports of his visit with Jimmy Carter that I realized the President that Biden truly resembles. It takes a special talent to implement policies that can simultaneously produce economic recession and runaway inflation. Yet Jimmy did it! Now Biden is well on his way to outdoing Carter by his huge, wasteful spend, punitive taxes and irrational energy policies.

Two things
1. I'm convinced that Biden's trip to visit Carter was to tell him, "Don't worry, man. I'm going to make sure you don't go down in history as the worst president ever. I got this!'
2. FTA: ..."and no one in the White House knew what to do about any of it." Ahhh...if that were really the case...Joe may have no idea what is going on (how could he, he has dementia) but the people pulling the levers of power in the White House are doing this all be design. And it clearly it appears that the Fed is fully on board with the plan.

During the first gas shortage, my son was just an infant (he's 47 now). I'd put him in bed with his dad at 5:00 a.m., take our car to the Shell station near us, wait in line and get our auto filled up. They'd both be up and dressed when I got home an hour or so later. I know Jimmy Carter is glad Biden took his ''worst president'' title from him.

Stagnation and inflation. Canceling pipelines, no new drilling, open the border, give welfare + EBT card + MedicAid to non-workers, spread the wealth to the undeserving, raise taxes, Green New Deal, Paris Accord in not good for US. Bidet&Ho were quick.
How does gas at $5 feel to you?

Carter managed to do one thing right, which was to deregulate the airlines. Biden probably won't get even one in the W column.

I wonder how many readers caught the title's clever allusion to a 1970's TV show.

Carter had some lawyers change the food pyramid. Think of how thin people were before 1980 and how fat they've gotten since then. There is almost nothing I like about that man.

In less than 4 months, Robinette has already won the Worst President in History title. Quite an accomplishment! He should retire now to secure his place in history.
But then I think who would replace him..........
