Never forget that Bill Gates was not involved in politics until the Clinton administration decided to sue them. Since then, he became very political, and an outright leftist progressive. Then, his buddy Warren Buffett helped show him how to limit his massive capital gains tax that he was facing by funneling most of his money into a foundation which is tax-free. He can now travel on the foundation money all over the world. Wonder if his comment about only giving his children $10,000,000 each was what ultimately became the last straw for melinda. It's like a rounding error for them, or their foundation, with that much money.

#6, no fan of Gates, but it is my understanding that Gates first tried to buy CP/M and the owner declined, much to his later disgust, and then Gates approached the owner of DOS. They agreed on a price and the owner sold DOS, lock, stock and barrel, to Gates. How is that "theft"? The fact that the owner couldn't see where Gate's good business efforts would take DOS, and failed to do some sort of a 'royalty' or 'percentage of the profits for 5 years' or something is totally on the seller, as far as I can see. Again....no fan of Bill Gates, but I was around, and paying attention to computers, large and small in those days, and knew what CP/M and DOS were before there ever was an MS/DOS. And that's the way I heard the story at the time.

Actually #6 he didn't. You're probably thinking of DR DOS. Mommy sent her IBM guys to Bill's house. He said he wasn't interested in operating systems and sent IBM to Digital Research, a bunch of stoners. DR laughed at the cute IBM suits so they went back to Bill. He gave IBM a watered down UNIX OS but it worked. Digital Research upon realizing how bad they'd scrood the pooch copied MS-DOS, hence DR-DOS which didn't go far without IBM.

#6 and #26 Microsoft bought 86-DOS (aka qDOS) from Seattle Computer Products: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seattle_Computer_Products From Wikipedisa article: "Microsoft, having worked with SCP before and seeking an operating system they could modify for the IBM PC, bought the rights to market the 86-DOS operating system to other manufacturers for US$25,000 that same month. On 27 July 1981, just prior to the launch of the IBM PC on the 12 August 1981, Microsoft bought the full rights to the operating system for an additional US$50,000, giving SCP a perpetual royalty-free license to sell 86-DOS (including updated versions) with its computer hardware.[2] Realizing that Microsoft was making significant profit on the 86-DOS operating system, SCP attempted to sell it along with a stand-alone inexpensive CPU (without any other circuitry). This was allowed as per SCP's license with Microsoft, which let SCP sell the operating system with their 8086-based computers; this operating system was marketed as "Seattle DOS", and a CPU was included in the box it shipped in. Thanks to the deal with Microsoft, additional capital allowed Seattle Computer to expand its memory business into providing additional memory for PC products. The company had its best year in 1982, reaping more than a million dollars in profit on about $4 million in sales.[2] By 1985, however, SCP's business was having difficulty trying to compete with offshore products (Brock once said, "they were selling memory boards for less than his cost for parts"), and Brock decided to sell the company. The only major asset SCP had left was the license it received from Microsoft when it signed over ownership rights to 86-DOS. Brock planned to sell (via merger) the license to the highest bidder, with a company such as the Tandy Corporation in mind. After Microsoft objected to Brock's "exaggerated interpretation" of the agreement and informed Brock that his license was nontransferable, Brock sued for US$60 million. The ensuing lawsuit was highly technical and grew to fill hundreds of pages in the months leading up to trial. The trial began at the end of 1986 and lasted three weeks. An out-of-court settlement was reached while the jury was deliberating. Microsoft paid SCP US$925,000 and reclaimed its license for DOS.[2] SCP went out of business in the late 1980s as the market for Intel 8086 systems became dominated by PC compatible computers."

May I join in the schadenfreude? The name Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation always seemed p-whipped to me. Le themSugarmountain and Chen Foundation. What´s wrong with calling it the Bidet Crime Family 10%? If you cannot stay together with 3 children, a trillion dollars, health, and the spiritual advice of communist Pope Francisco maybe you should not try to decrease world population 14-fold. I am better than Bill Gates because I kept my family together. Money can’t buy you world depopulation. Maybe if Bill stops plowing all the farmland he purchased in the USA then he can starve a few billion people but the work of the Prince of Lies will not get him satisfaction. He should try believing in Jesus Christ instead of playing Lord of the World. The Golden Rule does bring satisfaction. Bull Gates got his start in a oligarch Seattle family and will end a small man.

President Joe Biden's strange anecdote about reaching 1.5 million miles on Amtrak has come under scrutiny after key inconsistencies emerged that make it impossible to have occurred as he told it. On Friday, delivering a speech in Philadelphia commemorating the 50th anniversary of Amtrak, Biden launched into the tale of a certain conductor congratulating him on reaching the milestone as he traveled to visit his sick mother. Biden said the incident occurred in his 'fourth or fifth year as vice president', or around 2014-2015, at which time the conductor he named had been retired for 20 years and his mother had passed away,

Nearly 50 percent of Americans polled think that at least some social distancing measures will be permanent. Who can blame them? We have decided to make avoiding disease our full-time job. It’s more important than going to work or seeing your friends. It’s worth destroying the established Western social convention that we be able to see each other’s faces in public. I’ve got news for you: If you spend all your time worrying about getting sick, you’re sick already. America is having a giant, hysterical, hypochondriacal fit. (Snip) As a young and healthy person, there is really no upside to vaccination. I’m simply not likely to get the disease.

Facebook was justified in banning then-President Donald Trump from its platform the day after the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, but it needs to reassess how long the ban will remain in effect, the social network’s quasi-independent Oversight Board said Wednesday. The decision to uphold the ban is a blow to Trump's hopes to post again to Facebook or Instagram anytime soon, but it opens the door to him eventually returning to the platforms. Facebook must complete a review of the length of the suspension within six months, the board said.

Looks like Sony Pictures Television won’t be asking Anderson Cooper to permanently take up the Jeopardy mantle any time soon. The silver-haired CNN anchor pulled the least viewers of any guest host since Alex Trebek died of pancreatic cancer last November at age 80. In fact, Cooper scored the smallest audience of any guest host in the show’s history. According to ratings information obtained by The Wrap, with the 53-year-old Cooper at the helm, the long-running series dropped 7% from the week before when Green Bay Packers’ QB Aaron Rogers stood behind the iconic podium.

A remarkable display of Alinsky-inspired hubris today from the White House Press Secretary. “I wanted to provide an update on the situation at our southern border. After four years of an immigration system rooted in destructive and chaotic policies, President Biden is taking the challenge head-on and is building a fair, orderly and humane immigration system; that’s our objective. After coming into office, uh, our administration immediately jumped into action to address the influx of migrants at the border, something that began during -and was exacerbated by- the Trump administration; er, and wanted to provide data, pieces of data, you may have seen but they’ve come out since the last

There’s a photo rocketing around the internet that, once seen, cannot be unseen. It shows Joe and Jill Biden posing with the nonagenarian Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. However, it appears that the Carters having become Lilliputians, for they are teeny people in a teeny house next to the giant Bidens. Also, Biden’s invariable mask is missing, despite the Carters’ advanced age. (snip) A photo from just two years ago, when White House occupants showed up at George H.W. Bush’s funeral shows the relative height difference between the Bidens and the Carters, with Jill appearing to be almost the same height as Jimmy

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said Wednesday the administration will press ahead with plans to aid Black farmers for the “cumulative effect” of past discrimination by Washington, brushing aside a lawsuit by White farmers alleging discrimination because they are not eligible for a COVID-19 loan forgiveness program for disadvantaged producers. Mr. Vilsack said White farmers “did pretty well” under pandemic relief programs prior to the Biden administration’s $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, signed into law in March. But he said “socially disadvantaged” farmers need more help due to decades of discrimination.(Snip) A group of White Midwestern farmers sued the federal government last week, alleging discrimination

Executives with the U.S. Steel Corp. announced days ago that they are canceling a $1.5 billion project in western Pennsylvania that was set to bring thousands of middle-class union jobs to the region, a move that many are now blaming on Democrats and environmental groups. On April 30, U.S. Steel President David Burritt announced that a $1.5 billion project to majorly improve its Mon Valley Works operation with state-of-the-art steel casting, rolling technology, and a cogeneration plant is being canceled. The project’s cancelation means that about 1,000 union construction jobs will be lost for the region. Likely thousands more U.S. jobs in supporting industries will be lost as a result.
Biden Is Using Lies To Divide America 20 replies

The current President’s record of lying is alarming. In 1998, Biden lost his first bid for the Presidency because the media actually reported he was a repeat plagiarist. (snip) As President, a couple of weeks ago Biden made a statement about Georgia’s election law. in which every allegation is untrue. (snip) Which brings us to Biden’s “Speech to the Joint Sessions of Congress” in which he said, “We won’t ignore what our intelligence agency has determined to be the most lethal terrorist threat to the homeland today: White supremacy’s terrorism.”
