As if Joe Biden has any memory or comprehension of "last Tuesday's riot" let alone Watts. But of course for his voters 1963 is ancient history confined to the SmartPhone until needed. Problem being it will stay in the SmartPhone needed or not.

The problem is: liberals have grown exponentially more insane since 1965.

Unfortunately, Mr. Sailer characterizes Southerns the way that white, screechy progressives treat blacks (e.g., you must bribe those child-like, ignorant rubes to get them to act civilized). For one thing, the move of NASA from Florida to Houston began well before 1965, when NASA began flight control operations in Houston. The quarter million square foot facility wasn't sited, permitted, and built over night. The Atlanta Braves began playing professional baseball in the National League in 1876, 12 years after the end of the Civil War. The Dallas Texans began NFL play in 1952, then moved to Kansas City and became the Chiefs. The Dallas Cowboys joined the NFL in 1960 as an expansion team. The New Orleans Saints joined the NFL in 1966; however, New Orleans was a diverse city well before progressivism became a thing. An implicit assumption of the author that I find egregiously in error is that the North was more racially enlightened in the 1960s; perhaps on the surface it was. As a grade-schooler living on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio from 1964 to1967, I was fascinated to visit some old homes in nearby Springfield that were part of the Underground Railroad before and during the Civil War. On the other hand, my family often visited a Frisch's Big Boy restaurant just outside of Wright-Pat's Fairborn gate. Our favorite waitress was a light skinned black woman who was fired once the management found out and confirmed she was black. The manager informed us she was "High yellow," and could no longer work there. I had never even hear that term before and never heard used it since among my extended family in Texas. Racism has never been exclusive to the South just like hypocrisy has never been exclusive to the North, although it is a decidedly "Blue" characteristic of democrats yesterday and today.

An interesting read. But lbj’s election was based on the dims’ biggest marketing propaganda coup ever: the kennedy assassination. Lbj like most successful dims got successful by learning political dirty tricks, not from success in the real world.
