NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee has become the latest state to soon allow most adults 21 and older to carry handguns without first clearing a background check and training after Gov. Bill Lee on Thursday signed the measure into law.
“I signed constitutional carry today because it shouldn’t be hard for law-abiding Tennesseans to exercise their (Second Amendment) rights,” said Lee, a Republican approaching his reelection campaign for 2022, in a tweet.
Lee initially proposed the National Rifle Association-backed legislation last year before the COVID-19 pandemic caused lawmakers to narrow their focus. He renewed that effort when lawmakers returned for this year’s legislative session, where the GOP-controlled

Looks like The Today Show just may have committed what Rush Limbaugh used to call a “random act of journalism,” as Townhall reports.
They did a piece wondering why some of the states with the strictest restrictions in the country, like Michigan and New York, were now experiencing surges in the Wuhan coronavirus while the places which removed restrictions and dropped mandates, like Texas and Arkansas, had decreasing cases? Now, while they raised a good question, they didn’t come to a clear conclusion.
They theorized that perhaps it was less testing in the southern states. The problem with that argument is that if that were true then the hospitalizations and deaths

John Fonte has written an excellent article called “End Nationalism, End America.” For many on the left, that’s the point. They may dislike nationalism, but what they really can’t stand is America. Their target isn’t the nation state; it’s our nation state. That’s why they want to cede as much of our sovereignty as they can get away with to international bodies.
Fonte writes:
If progressive liberal esteem for the democratic nation-state is low, the mainstream Left’s depiction of the American nation’s particular culture, people, institutions, and mores is even more negative. . . .
For more than 50 years, Americans have been educated by liberals

Remember the abandoned laptop that belonged to Hunter Biden—the laptop even Hunter himself conceded “could be” his—that was left in a repair shop in Wilmington, Delaware, in 2019, the one that he never came back for?
Well, the Daily Mail received a copy of the hard drive and has reviewed the contents of the laptop, and there’s a treasure trove of dirty secrets in there.
According to text messages from 2019, Hunter begged his father to run for president. Not because the country needed him, or because he was the most likely candidate to win… Hunter begged Joe to run to salvage Hunter’s own reputation.
But that revelation is small beans

Science and medicine can do a lot to make our lives better. But for that to happen, we have to be able to trust the public authorities, companies and institutions that produce and oversee the innovations.
We’re already seeing the sad fruits of distrust in the unwillingness of many people — including health workers on both sides of the Atlantic — to take the COVID-19 vaccines. People don’t trust experts and government agencies as they once did, which means assurances of vaccine safety often fail to persuade. When health officials and other authorities manipulate the public, as they have throughout this pandemic, they lose credibility.

Tarrant County’s top health officials are claiming without evidence that large crowds for Texas Rangers games may turn into a coronavirus super spreading event.
“We need to be sensible about how we bring back normal. There are times when you have to be cautious, and right now is the time to be cautious,” said Vinny Taneja, the county’s public health director, according to the Star-Telegram.
The Rangers announced that 38,238 fans turned out at Globe Life field on Monday, a number representing a sell-out crowd and the largest number the Rangers have had in more than a year, not to mention the largest group of fans for a pro baseball game

President Joe Biden made numerous false and misleading statements while unveiling a package of gun-control actions on Thursday.
Biden falsely described how federal firearm laws work as he called for Congress to amend those laws. He pushed the Senate to pass H.R. 8, which would ban private gun sales unless done through a licensed dealer, by claiming there is a special exemption for sales made at gun shows.
"Most people don't know, you walk into a store and you buy a gun you have a background check," Biden said in his speech at the White House. "But you go to a gun show, you can buy whatever

Joe Biden today announced executive orders for gun control in the Rose Garden, declaring “gun violence” a “public health crisis.”
We’d given a preview of what he was likely to do yesterday and it was right on target.
From Fox News:
Biden is asking the Justice Department (DOJ), within a month, propose a rule to stop “ghost guns,” which are “kits” people can buy legally then fully assemble to create a functioning firearm that does not have a serial number.
Biden is also asking the DOJ within 60 days to propose a rule on braces used for handguns, which make them more accurate

On Thursday, President Joe Biden announced new executive actions on gun control, trying to limit “ghost guns” and to make it easier for people to flag their own family members who shouldn’t be allowed to purchase firearms. In announcing his gun restrictions, Biden specifically addressed the Second Amendment.
While Biden insisted that none of his gun control measures impinged on the Second Amendment, he also insisted that “no amendment to the Constitution is absolute.”
“Nothing, nothing I’m about to recommend in any way impinges on the Second Amendment. They’re phony arguments suggesting that these are Second Amendment rights at stake for what we’re talking about,” he argued.
Then came the key statement:

Consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble is testing an advertising technique developed in China that gathers iPhone data for targeted advertisements as companies look for ways to bypass Apple's new privacy measures. P&G is preparing for an era in which new tools and customer preferences limit the amount of data available to marketers, Dow Jones reported, citing sources. The Cincinnati company is partnering with dozens of Chinese trade groups and tech firms working with the state-backed China Advertising Association to develop the new technique, which would use a technology called device fingerprinting.

Viewers are tired of woke politics seeping into every facet of entertainment media. Patience is running thin and most are simply tuning out. The latest Marvel release called The Falcon and the Winter Soldier warranted a record breaking audience for its highly anticipated premiere episode, according to Disney+. The streaming service did not provide any numerics to corroborate this claim however the new show was proclaimed to be the most watched title for its opening weekend overall, even beating out The Mandalorian.
The success of the initial episode did not endure, however, as viewership tanked suddenly at a very specific moment

A massive COVID-19 vaccination site at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado, was closed down Wednesday because 11 people suffered adverse side effects from the vaccines, The Denver Post reports.
The reactions were specifically to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Two people were taken to nearby hospitals and placed under review and observation.
According to KDVR, the group of people who were not hospitalized were given juice and water for their recovery. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment said the side effects people at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Park site suffered included nausea and dizziness, according to The Denver Post.
