President Biden on Tuesday kicked off his “Help is Here” tour of the nation, intended to promote his just-signed $1.9 trillion COVID-19 stimulus bill, but he hardly mentioned the bill on what was supposed to be the first leg of a “victory lap.” Biden spoke for about 3 minutes with the owners of Smith Flooring Inc in Chester, Pa., before reporters were escorted out, with almost no mention of his first major legislative achievement as president.(Snip) The president—who picked his ear and scratched his head during an at-times awkward first tour stop—said this month he wanted to aggressively promote

Albany, N.Y.—On Monday, Assemblymember Jon Rivera and Senator Sean Ryan announced that funding for the New York State Enhanced Services to Refugees Program had “overwhelming support” in both Legislative houses. As part of the 2021 state budget, the Assembly approved $3 million in funding. The next steps for the approval process are pending. The Enhanced Services to Refugees Program provides services so that refugees can successfully integrate into local communities.(Snip) Rivera and Ryan say refugees and immigrants have been instrumental in reversing the population decline in cities like Buffalo. A GoFundMe page set up to pay off the mortgage on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s $14.6 million California estate has gone bust—after raising a measly $110, a report says. Anastasia Hanson, 56, of California told Britain’s the Sun that she started the fundraising effort because she seriously felt sorry for the multimillionaire royal couple—after Harry publicly whined to Oprah Winfrey about being financially cut off by Buckingham Palace. “When they came to the USA, they were without jobs and with limited funds,” said Hanson, who lives about 25 minutes from the princely pair’s palatial estate in swanky Montecito.

A movie about the life and times of Hunter Biden is in the works, but it’s not coming out of Hollywood. Conservative Irish filmmakers Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer announced Tuesday the launch of a 60-day crowdfunding campaign aimed at raising $2.5 million for “My Son Hunter,” a film “based on the true story” of President Biden’s 51-year-old son. “It’s about Hunter Biden and his corrupt business dealings,” Mr. McAleer said in a video post on MySonHunter.com.(Snip) The film’s website shows images of the president and Hunter Biden along with the U.S. and Chinese flags and a pair of pole dancers

A Florida teen and her mother have been accused of rigging a high school homecoming court election by hacking students' accounts and casting fake ballots. Emily Rose Grover, 17, and Laura Rose Carroll, 50, were arrested on Monday in Pensacola after investigators uncovered their alleged plot to tamper with the election at Tate High School so that the teen would win homecoming queen last fall. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) said it opened the investigation in November after officials with the Escambia County School District (ECSD) reported that hundreds of student accounts had been accessed without authorization.

The number of illegal immigrants trying to jump the border is on pace for the highest rate in two decades, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Tuesday, delivering a sobering account just a day before he is to face Congress. He placed blame for the situation on Mexico’s lessening cooperation, on the conditions in other countries, on the coronavirus and on the Trump administration—but did not mention President Biden’s changes, which many migrants themselves are citing as their reason for coming now.
In particular, Mr. Mayorkas said the Trump team left “no plans” for protecting Border Patrol agents and others on the front lines

It began with the flicker of a flashlight, muffled voices and the gentle splash of paddles carrying softly across the stillness of the Rio Grande Valley. As the silhouette drew closer to the shore we could suddenly see the bow of a small boat and the faces of women and children peering back at us though the gloom. Moments later the raft reached the riverbank and the dozen or so occupants began clambering on to U.S. soil with dreams of starting a new life in Joe Biden's America.(Snip) Over a two-hour period we watched in disbelief as the three-man trafficking crew

Gov. Andrew Cuomo was physically “aroused” when he allegedly hugged a press aide more than two decades ago, the woman said Monday. Karen Hinton—who first went public against Cuomo on March 6—detailed the alleged incident during an interview on WNYC radio. “He approached me, embraced too tightly, too long and was aroused,” Hinton said. “I felt extremely uncomfortable and actually shocked. Nothing had ever happened that way between the two of us.”(Snip) At the time, Cuomo was then-President Bill Clinton’s housing secretary and Hinton was working as a consultant after having been employed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development

“The View” co-host Joy Behar claimed Monday that Antifa is “an idea” and “not a real thing” during a heated discussion with co-host Meghan McCain.
During an on-air discussion about the Jan. 6 Capitol Hill riot, Ms. McCain noted the ongoing Antifa-led riots in Portland, Oregon, and how the left-wing, so-called “anti-fascist” movement has a history of property destruction and violence against law enforcement.(Snip) Ms. Behar responded by citing FBI Director Christopher Wray, who has said Antifa is “not a group or an organization” but “a movement or an ideology” that was not involved
