An armed person stopped an attempted burglary in Atlanta this week, police said.
On March 8 around 3:03 p.m., officers responded to a Chik-fil-A on Peachtree Street.
“Upon arrival, officers spoke with witnesses who stated a black male walked inside, produced a firearm and demanded money from several employees. The employees fled and the suspect exited the business a short time later. Several nearby citizens confronted the suspect as he was leaving. One of the citizens was armed and at some point, during the confrontation, the citizen fired several shots. The suspect ran on foot and was apprehended nearby, by the citizens and held until police arrived,”

If Biden and the leftist Democrats get their way there will be no armed citizens in position to stop robberies like what caused this story to be written.

Like De Blasio's wife said, "police yourselves". Armed citizens to be charged for challenging the armed robber's rights.

Poster #2, if Biden and the democrats have their way there will be no armed policemen, much less armed citizens to stop crime. The only ones armed will be the criminals.

Now the Wonk Progressives and BLM will want to punish the citizen that stopped the robber.

The protocol at Woke-fil-A is to shine the bLACK man's shoes, not to fire at him when he commits a crime.

How was this an "attempted burglary,' as stated in the article?
This was an ARMED ROOBERY in progress.

When the armed robber is lying speadeagled on the ground at gunpoint about to have law enforcement apply the bracelets, he has the belated opportunity to review his life's choices, with regrets. If he absorbs a mortal defensive bullet or three from his intended victim, well, that's the chance he was taking when he pulled out a gun to commit a crime. As his vitals are bullet-gripped and start shutting down and the world darkens, he won't have the opportunity to contemplate his life's choices as he shakes hands with the darkness and succumbs.
Although I prefer cops to take the bad guys down, civilians are usually better located than police (who, after all, must be summoned). If a violent crime is about to go down, it's better that potential victims, if possible (you shouldn't draw from the drop unless you want to die immediately), stop the criminal(s) with deadly force of their own rather than let it happen and hope the perpetrators are intent on only on robbery, not murder. The wholly unconstitutional gun control agenda of the Xiden administration will have no effect on violent armed criminals while making legal defenders less safe by taking ammunition out of their firearms, and by trying to outlaw their modern sport rifles such as the AR-15, which are by far the most effective self-defense weapons.
There is no battlefield army on earth that would issue its combat soldiers an AR-15 Why not? Because their enemies, who will have machine guns, would cut them to pieces. A semiautomatic rifle legally available for decades, whether, AR, AK, Mini-14, Galil, or whatever, is not a machine gun, and can't be legally converted into one. I have heard of a single individual holding off more than a dozen armed attackers at a house with an AR. Once the would be invaders saw what they were up against, one of them yelled, "He's got a tec!" They didn't want any of that, and fled. Wrong house!

#7 said it before I could: this was an armed "robbery," not an attempted "burglary" as stated in the introductory paragraph. This amateur journalism without editorial review is embarrassing us as a society. I admit that it's better than the professional journalists who hide, obfuscate, or ignore any news that doesn't fit their woke, leftist world view.

Anyone choosing to carry a pistol has the obligation to practice with it so that accuracy of shots can be the rule.

#10 is correct. Effective pistol shooting requires regular practice. No doubt about it. If you don't know how, hire an NRA instructor.
