The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced the nominees for the 2021 class Wednesday morning.
“This remarkable ballot reflects the diversity and depth of the artists and music the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame celebrates,” said John Sykes, Chairman, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, in a statement. “These Nominees have left an indelible impact on the sonic landscape of the world and influenced countless artists that have followed them.”
Two of my favorites: Carole King and Dionne Warwick

Most of the nominees are hardly rock and roll artists. They must be running out of groups to add to the hall of fame. I see maybe four or five at most who qualify as rock and roll artists.

New York Dolls, Devo, Todd Rundgren, Iron Maiden, sure. Fela is world music, the others belong in their own dedicated BLACK music hall of fame (give or take Ike and Tina; they can stay), or are pop, or are too new.

No Dick Dale, no Link Wray
True pioneers of rock
No legitimacy, just like our brain-addled president

Ike and Tina Turner are already in as a group. Either the hall doesn't know that, or they have no regard for their reputation, along the lines of the MSM, the federal government, the NFL, all down the line.

It is not the Rock and Roll hall of fame. It is the 'let's pimp out various performers to gain publicity for Cleveland' and call it a hall of fame..

Why do they pick people that have absolutely nothing to do with rock-and-roll, and put them in the rock-and-roll hall of fame?!?!?!?
LL Cool Jay, Jay Z, and Mary J. Blige could be in the rap or soul halls of fame. And some of the others are definitely stretching the ties to rock-and-roll substantially!!!

The music is not any fun any longer. The Democrats have taken over everything, and everything is misery.

Thanks for posting. Those who said it best, about that joke of a gimmick in Cleveland and the annual dictum of what its elitists tell us we must accept as rock and roll:
"...the day Led Zeppelin gets put into the Hip-Hop Hall Of Fame is the day I will personally accept rap artists as being brought into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame." - Gene Simmons, 2017
"Your museum. Urine in wine. We're not coming." - Johnny Rotten, 2006

Several of the people on the 'list' should have been inducted LONG AGO...what are these people smoking?

900 in 34 years isn't much of a Hall-of-Fame.

No kidding, #13 -- how is it that Carole King hasn't been inducted long before 2021?
And what about the Moody Blues?
