because of COVID

Rodeo President and CEO Chris Boleman announced on Wednesday morning there will not be a RodeoHouston 2021 season because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The rodeo tweeted "community health is our priority" along with a video message from Boleman. This year's rodeo was previously scheduled to be held in May instead of March, a postponement because of the pandemic. But now it has been canceled entirely, including the rodeo competition, concerts and carnival.

Rodeo folks, livestock producers, 4H & FFA kids, vendors, muscians, etc. all rely on shows like this to make money. This is the second year this has been cancelled. I used to be a vendor at large horse shows like this and there is no recovery from not having these shows.
