All presidents have critics within their own parties. Some Republicans, for example, lament President Trump’s occasional lack of decorum. More than a few GOP luminaries fretted over former President George W. Bush’s frequent solecisms. Yet it’s rare for a prominent politician to publicly renounce a sitting president of his own party during an election year. Consequently, it was surprising to see a Saturday New York Times story titled, “Vote for Trump? These Republican Leaders Aren’t on the Bandwagon.” Nor was one’s initial skepticism quelled when the article’s author claimed, “Former President George W. Bush won’t support the re-election of Mr. Trump,” with no supporting quote from Bush.

I have my doubts with the Bush family. I have lost all my respect for them all. One of his relatives is running for office, when Bush realized what he said he probably said, Oops.....I never said it. He's a globalist and RINO. I just want him to go away forever and never heard from again.
I still can't get Bush out of my head when he rolled his eyes at President Trump during the Inauguration. What a disgusting person.

Bush hates Trump for making Jeb look like a pathetic idiot. I don't think he will vote for Trump, but I don't think he would announce it to the world.

Trust in the news has long since collapsed. We all know this and every poll shows this. But still they have the power to cause a panic-demic out of a bad flu, completely shut down the most vibrant economy in history (because Trump built it), set the nation's cities on fire, and get everyone to cry and cry over the loss of a violent career criminal drug addict that had a heart attack and died while being arrested (again). No vigils or congress taking a knee 'photo ops' for the hero police officers that have been slaughtered over this nonsense because the media didn't tell people to cry for them.
How do we get people to go from not being surprised when they learn the news is fake to simply not believing it in the first place?!

Even if Bush never said that, he still remains a zero in my book. Loved him during his presidency, but when he refused to criticize Obama for shredding the Constitution but took aim at Trump the first chance he got, I lost all respect for him. And it isn't coming back, W.....

Not buying it. W is a new world order advocate and does not like Trump. After I saw HW advocating for the new world order when he was President in the early 1990s, that is all I needed to see in order to understand who the Bushes really are. I also agree with #2 and #6. Slimes, if you still stand by the story, support it by getting a quote from W.
W, if you really were to clear the air of any potential misunderstanding (while I doubt there is any), get on your soap today and strongly rennounce the nwo AND your strong support of the President. Then again tomorrow, And the next day. And the day after that.

Now that we have fully discussed this nothing-burger, can we talk about something serious... like when is the Mayor of DC going to be prosecuted for defacing federal property with many gallons of yellow paint??

This is really humorous. The media, as usual, are totally underestimating the Trump supporters. We are not trying to be ‘freed’ to vote for Democrats. We are trying to free others from voting for Democrats. And if anyone was going to change our minds it certainly wouldn’t be Bush.

Well George if that indeed is the case and you are who I once hoped you were, you would see that your country needs you now more than it did after 911. You would rise to the call of your country and set the record straight and we wouldn't be getting the message through your aid.
You see George we are fighting for our lives from an internal revolt fomented by outside global communist agitators bent on world domination, not dissimilar to a jihad intended to install a global caliphate.
Now is your time George, I call on you to let us know because you are either with us or against us, what's it going to be George?

I think that the story was totally true but was given off the record--remember, DJT let the Bush family use AF1 for the funeral festivities reluctantly but did so after being assured that the family would not trash Trump like Megan "Water Buffalo" McCain did when the Songbird went room temperature. The Bushes have a little more class than PIAPS would if Bubba went room temp tomorrow.

So - - where does this leave Colon Blow Powell?
The fabled affirmative action military strategist was completely snookered by the Slimes - - and is now sitting out on a creaking limb all by his lonesome.
Sorry Colon Blow - - you shouldn't believe all those fawning stories about how brilliant you are - - because you AIN'T!

Once upon a time, I had a subscription to the New York Times. I have done my part to defund the New York Times by cancelling my subscription. I have no idea who advertises in that rag any more, because I don't see it.
If what I read is any indication, I am not alone. When a ''news'' paper loses a large chunk of it's subscribers, advertisers suffer too. Why pay exorbitant advertising rates when the subscribers are gone?

it is long past time for Bush II to speak out on his own. He didn't while President, and it allowed others to set the narrative, and ultimately help lead to Obama becoming President. That is still going on. Bush II should publicly say if he supports or does not support Trump. Don't leave it to others. If Bush II remains silent, assume he does not support Trump..

All the Slimes did was call George Bush's bluff ... and he doesn't like it!
Trust me, W never intended to support or vote for Trump but he hates being called out on it.
As for Powell, the less said the better, but as an affirmative action military man he realized the playing field was wide open if he claimed to be a Republican but the Demo-rat field was pretty dense & crowded with more talent. Thus, Colon (not a typo) stuck out more and got plenty of undeserved attention claiming to be a Pubbie. He's just like Mike Bloomberg who served as Mayor of NYC as a Republican ... before he realized he couldn't get re-elected due to term limits, so for his last term he ran as an "independent".

This is all battlefield prep for a possible independent run by Mitt. Biden is toast, whom I suspect is a sacrificial fool offered by the Democrats. Why Mitt? He's a bought man, and a possible "unifier" who can help the Dem establishment fend off the radicals they've unleashed without endangering the UNIPARTY coalition. He's inoffensive...okay, he left his dog in a crate on his car roof.
Mitt can't win? Ummm, in a three-way race, under the right conditions, if no candidate wins a majority of electoral votes and it goes into the House for resolution...don't think a bi-partisan coalition couldn't be cobbled together in Mitt's favor? To Dump Trump? To block off The Squad and its ilk?
We will be watching one "crisis" form and burn after another until at least November. If PDT's numbers look soft by September, expect a Romeny announcement...to bring Americans together under a businessman who can get things done without the vitriol, free of the chains of partisanship.

GW is Bill Clinton's brother. GW said so. Seen everywhere together. GW voted for Hillary, and will vote for Biden. GW said capitalism failed on his way out office, not GW, but capitalism, and leaving a $770B slush fund for Obama to spend anyway Obama saw fit. GW engineered the housing crisis with his everybody should own a home policy, including those that don't pay for them.

As per standard NYT operating procedures. They invent news every day, all day, on every topic.
This is why it is never worth wasting time on NYT. It is lies and propaganda, never news.

President Bush received unprecedented attacks and lies from the media and Democrats. There certainly was plenty of BDS to go around during his administration. Did he and the Bush family forget that? How can he not identify just a little bit with the tragedy this country has gone through for the past 4 years of unrelenting attacks against President Trump and this country? How can he just sit by and watch the fabric of our glorious nation come apart with these riots? Instead of having some flunky deny the Times story (which I agree with others was probably true) he should publicly affirm Trump's administration and be part of trying to unite the country and stand with the President as the forces of evil, China, Soros, the Dems, openly try to destroy this country.
In all of this mess, Bush's disloyalty to our country and the people that voted for and supported him through his trials, is painful.

W is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't speak his own words. But if someone misquotes him, one of his aides will speak up, like Freddy Ford just did. As far as I know it is still a secret ballot when you vote. And like others, my former delight in W has waned greatly. Really and truly.

"they will vote for Trump in much larger numbers than in 2016. A portent of this can be found in last week’s Pennsylvania primary:"
Although Pennsylvanians have their own special reasons for kicking the democrat infestation out of the state, many blue states now see the error of their ways in allowing democrats to ruin them and will be doing their own housecleaning. Many democrats will stay home on election day, thus creating a higher tiday wave. Their concern now is with dead voters but they will have bigger troubles with live ones.
Biden's birth in Pennsyvania was just that, an accident of birth. Democrats reigned supreme here when the Teamsters were strong and the steelworkers union controlled that once-lucrative industry and the millions of dollars it produced for them. Joe is done and so is his politics.
Although the Bush story is false, I can see some yet-unannounced RINOs like Pierre falling on their swords by going for Biden. The GOP has lost most of our loyalty. After the second term of Donald Trump I am done with politics because there will be no point in supporting either party.
