Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis's warning that there will never be another Camelot isn't stopping her grand-nephew from trying to recreate a little family history.
Massachusetts Rep. Joe Kennedy III, 39, surprised few pundits last September when he announced he wanted to run for the Senate, hoping to reclaim the seat held by the political dynasty for more than half a century.
But what rankled establishment Democrats was that the grandson of the late Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy wanted to run now, challenging incumbent Sen. Ed Markey, the 73-year-old dean of the state's congressional delegation. Rank-and-file members of the party don't seem as bothered though.

History repeats itself as farce, apparently.

A good looking red headed Irish man with an air head democrat brain. He will win the old ladies vote as did Jack.

No more dynasties, thank you. Candidates should run on merit, not on what they inherit.

Markey is easy pickings for Joe Kennedy. He represented a MA house district for decades without owning a home in MA and lived in Chevy Chase, MD. MA voters didn't care since they just vote straight D 99.9% of the time. Their "R"'s have been Mittens Romney and Charlie Baker who would be, at best, RINO lites.

I have no respect for any Kennedy with the exception of the late Eunice Shriver. She was a good woman, the only Kennedy to be pro-life.

Good Lord, what a primary choice! Ed Markey (who is the sponsor of AOC's Green New Deal in the Senate) or the next Kennedy! Every poll location in MA could be declared a toxic waste site.

Uh....poster 2, "Good looking"? Me thinks thou dost need thine eyes checkethed!
Poster 4 we don't all vote straight dem here. There are many of us good hard working conservatives who vote republican. In Massachusetts it's not how you vote, it's how your vote is counted. We voted for mittens because he was a "Republican". None of us will vote for baker due to his blatant disrespect for President Trump.

#4, JFK, as a congressman, had a mailing address at a walk-up efficiency in his district.
And when Bobby Kennedy ran for the U.S. Senate for New York, he said he had always been a New Yorker - that Massachusetts was where the family went for vacation.
Corey Booker pretends to live in NJ, Gabby Giffords lived in Houston but represented a congressional district in New Mexico, he husband, Kelly, is a Houston resident and is running for a NM senate seat.
I suspect that there are lots more members of congress who don't meet constitutional standards on residency.

Residency is a funny thing. Anyone who has moved interstate has run into issues regarding taxes, for example, or college tuition. (It's not citizenship.) Just because you live in one state does not necessarily make you a resident, although the state may have a different opinion, mostly in terms of collecting taxes or higher fees from you.

We never had a first Camelot, except possibly when Tintagel Castle existed in the fourth century. The JFK and Jackie myth was built by the MSM, much like the Obama dynasty was half a century later, but it all went downhill for the Kennedys from there.

Depends on their priorities. Is having the Kennedy name back in congress more important than Ed Markey's continued career? If they think they can manipulate the kid, they will go for the Kennedy name, no matter how tarnished it is.

He's like our very own Prince Harry. The only thing missing is a Markle like wife.
Frankly, I'm not sure who's more entitled, the Clintons or Kennedys. And lets be honest.....JFK's assassination was a gold mine for that inbred family.
