How would you like to be investigated by the FBI because you disagreed with the president’s policies? Sounds a little KGB-ish, you might think — and you’d be right, because the FBI has zero authority to conduct such an investigation. But the more we learn about the FBI’s investigation of Michael Flynn, the more it appears he was targeted precisely because, as the national security adviser to the incoming Trump administration, he signaled that the new administration might undo Obama administration policies — which is kind of what the American people voted for in 2016.

0 fired Flynn because he wanted to make changes in the DEFENSE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY hierarchy destroying the human bureaucratic infrastructure the dems had entrenched
0 warned Trump to be wary of 2 things - Russia and Flynn. Why?
Looks pretty obvious that the DIA was doing something very important dealing with Russia that 0 didn't want interrupted or exposed

Gee - - I think - - I don't - - I really can't recall - - ummm - - no - - no - - no one ever tried to protect Little 0bie. Not then - - not before - - not now. I just can't imagine the DOJ, FBI, CIA, and NSA trying to protect him. Why would they?

Flynn was targeted because his vulnerabilities were known and the opportunity presented itself to wreak a little havoc during the transition. He remains tangled in a web largely of his own creation. Okay, he didn't lie to the FBI...so he perjured himself with his guilty plea, swearing 1) he committed the crime, and 2) he was not under any pressure to make this plea.

Counterintelligence and criminal investigations conducted by the FBI should be initiated, conducted, and closed by the FBI field offices around the country. But that is really not what happened with the Flynn investigation. In the Flynn investigation it was initiated, conducted by street level FBI Agents, and was ready to be closed by the FBI Washington, DC Field Office after finding no evidence that Flynn was a Russian Agent. FBI Headquarters then intervened, with the Field Office being told not to close the Flynn case as the 7th Floor wanted to get involved. The 7th Floor at FBI Headquarters is where the politicized super FBI bureaucrats have their offices. So in the Flynn case the FBI street level agents assigned to investigate Flynn found no evidence that Flynn was acting as a Russian agent and were in the process of closing the case when the politicized FBI super bureaucrats on the 7th Floor at FBI Headquarters took control of the Flynn case, and sent high level FBI 7th Floor Agents to interview Flynn. It was after that occurred that Flynn suffered criminal persecution. When reforms of the FBI are being considered the so-called 7th Floor that consists of politicized FBI managers should be prohibited from themselves initiating, conducting, or closing counterintelligence or criminal investigations that should be assigned to FBI field offices for action. The FBI should also be prohibited from commenting on or investigating future Presidential Campaigns.

I think one of the things they feared was a real investigation into IRS's illegal activities to destroy an emerging new political party. The Tea Party. A lot of people still need to go to jail.

One story I read said that Flynn saw a lot of shenanigans going on in the spy world, primarily on the pocketing-of-money side. I guess receipts and payments by check or recorded money transfer isn't a normal conduct of business and maybe instead of paying my informant $10,000 that I told the boss, I paid him $5,000 and I pocketed $5,000. If I was in that business, I might be concerned that my "second income stream" might be coming to an end and well, the end justifies the means.

Wray's demonrat job is to make sure the FBI is never ever reformed. I'd like to know who the traitor loving hidden plant demonrat was that recommended Wray for that position. Whomever it is should be fired immediately.

I'm with John56 (#12).
I think that Flynn -as someone wrote some time ago- "knew where the bodies are buried"...... he knew about a LOT of scummy activities., where America was sold out, and a LOT of Ca$h disappeared down 'Rat-holes.
As the HildeBeast is reported to have told that woman at the DNC....."If that Bas***d Wins, We're All Going Th Hang From Nooses! You Better Fix This Sh*t!"
I believe THAT is the reason, once all the other distractions are cleared away.
