A federal judge has blocked a California law that required law-abiding residents to go through a background check every time they purchased ammunition. The Associated Press reported that U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez ruled against the state of California on Thursday, taking the state to task for its “onerous and convoluted” regulations that violated residents’ Second Amendment rights.“The experiment has been tried. The casualties have been counted. California’s new ammunition background check law misfires and the Second Amendment rights of California citizens have been gravely injured,” Benitez wrote in his 120-page opinion.“Criminals, tyrants, and terrorists don’t do background checks,”

It never deases to amaze me: liberals can’t read or understand plain English. What part of “shall not be infringed” is unclear to them?

Good news for California citizens. Clawing back a tiny bit of their tattered rights.

I tried to buy some shotgun shells a few months ago and was told at my gun shop that I needed a Passport Card or the new state ReadID card available from the DMV. To get the ReadID update on my driver's license, I had to bring in my certified birth certificate, an unlaminated Social Security card, and the tax bill and copy of the grant deed on my home. It took weeks waiting for a birth certificate from the state of CA and weeks waiting to get a new SS card, as well as hours on end in line at the DMV. Finally, I received it by mail about another two weeks later. All this to just buy ammo. I wish they would do this to allow people to vote.
Thank you, Your Honor, for defending our beloved Second Amendment and Gavin Gunslinger Newsome you can go straight to hell.

“Criminals, tyrants, and terrorists don’t do background checks"
Almost -
“Criminals, tyrants, and terrorists and Barack Obama don’t do background checks'
But that would be redundant.

#1, they can read and understand just fine. This isn't about understanding on their part, it's about American citizens understanding the leftard/commie/dimocrats/uniparty mean to rule us, and if they have to kill to do so, they will.
It's all about power.
Understanding that is key to understanding what they do in politics, in media, in education, &etc, everywhere they have squirmed their way into. If they can't disarm us, they'll work to keep us less well provisioned that the military and police, and they'll filter who gets into the upper ranks of the military and police. Why do you think they slammed through the 1934 NFA using their creatures that were infiltrated into the executive, legislative and judicial branches? Or the 1968 or 1986 acts? Or the 'assault-weapon' import ban? They knew they weren't allowed to do so, but came up with the bogus excuse - the power to tax overrides a clear, explicit prohibition restricting the government - that doesn't hold up to even minor rational, logical scrutiny.

Liberal fascism loses a round. It's unfortunate that we have to rely on the federal judiciary when an uprising of the people would be so much more thorough. and decisive.

as a hunter, I am reasonably certain that if someone searched my car during the months of September through January, they would find a rifle cartridge or shotgun shell that i had forgotten about.
if I drove into California, I would be declared a criminal...
