President Trump earned a 19% job approval rating from black voters in the latest Fox News poll as the Trump reelection campaign works to double the 8% support he received from this cohort four years ago. Trump's team is spending tens of millions of dollars to woo black voters in the November election, deploying a massive field and data program to target a voting bloc that for decades has overwhelmingly supported the Democratic Party. Until all campaigns were forced online by the coronavirus pandemic, that investment included opening special campaign field offices in urban neighborhoods in key battleground states designed to cater to black voters.

For years, the media complained that President Donald Trump wasn’t holding enough press conferences. Now, as the media’s poor performance in his daily coronavirus press conferences is on worldwide display, they’re begging him to leave his own press conferences, and leave them alone to craft their anti-Trump storylines. When March polls showed Trump receiving unusually high marks for his handling of the Coronavirus pandemic, and the media receiving their traditionally low marks for it, many journalists began pushing for censorship of the press conferences. While many outlets tried this approach, it obviously failed with viewers who turned to other outlets for the news they sought.

During his first three years in office, President Donald J. Trump celebrated a booming economy, delivering on his central promise, “Make America Great Again.” His pro-growth policies created millions of new jobs, with the lowest unemployment rates for Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians, respectively, in American history. The unemployment rate overall fell to the lowest in 50 years, since 1969, during the 1960s Kennedy boom. Wages and middle-class incomes soared to over $65,000, an all-time record, with wages for lower-income workers rising faster than for their bosses. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin requested the cash because funds are running low, just weeks after the program launched.
