What should be done about Senator Schumer’s threats to two members of the United States Supreme Court? Everyone agrees that the senator’s words were shocking. Mr. Schumer, while addressing an abortion rights rally in front of the Court, issued threats against two justices over a case on abortion. “I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price,” Mr. Schumer boomed.
The Baltimore Sun, in an editorial today, reckons that Mr. Schumer was merely echoing Justice Kavanaugh’s expression, during his confirmation hearing, of fear of the whirlwind the Democrats had sewed.
SEWED? Does the writer mean sown?

fear of the whirlwind the Democrats had sewed? The sewing machine of the Democrats sows. It sows libel and threats, warnings and mistrust, denigration and dishonor, hatred and division. The editorialist doesn't know her sew and sow from from her such and such.

Schumer must have forgotten he wasn't on the floor of the Senate where he can utter any slander, threats, etc. that he wants and can't be held to account. He forgot that off the floor he is just another unhinged Democrat.

This is a moment, in our view, for the Supreme Court to clobber the senator with Title 18 of the United States Code, section 401. Title 18 is the part of our federal law that deals with criminal matters, and section 401 grants courts the power to punish contempt. The Nine could move against the senator sua sponte, meaning on the court’s own motion, by issuing a heavy fine, say, or seizing his law license, or worse.
Could the court really do that? We’re no lawyer, just a newspaper with a flask of newsblack and whiskey in one hand and a pen in the other. Yet the plain language of Section 401 says that “a court of the United States shall have power to punish by fine or imprisonment, or both, at its discretion, such contempt of its authority, and none other, as . . .” Then it lists the contempts that would open an individual to sanctions.
One is “misbehavior of any person” in the court’s “presence or so near thereto as to obstruct the administration of justice”; two is “misbehavior” of “any” of the court’s “officers” in “their official transactions”; and three is “disobedience or resistance” to the court’s “lawful writ, process, order, rule, decree, or command.” So it looks like Mr. Schumer is in jeopardy of contempt in all three categories, including, because he’s a lawyer, the second one involving court officers.
Yes, absolutely. Go for him. He is a dangerous person. He showed it in what he said, how he said it, where he said it… He did it deliberately, which is quite obvious, so his feeble attempt to walk it back was nearly as shameful as what he said.

So … The So called journalism SchOol graduates who work for our "professional news outlets" with their oppressive student loans can't distinguish between "sewed, sowed, or sown"
1. You didn't get your money's worth from your college OR the government student loan system.
2. Given the result of your government student loan, do you really want them in charge of your health care ?
3. I would suspect that EVERY Justice on the Supreme court knows the difference between sewed and sown.
4. Tell the New York Sun that Greta Thunberg is looking for a job and she's probably fluent in Swedish.

I would be very careful about quoting, however inaccurately, the Bible Senator Schumer. Particularly when you are talking about your desire to murder babies without restrictions.
Hosea 8:7 "For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up."

This is stupid. Schumer deserves what he gets, but the court does not have the power to reach outside its walls and hold people in contempt. I doubt that phrase "presence or so near thereto" would be interpreted to include a demonstration on the street where Schumer made his remarks. It would be frightening indeed if the court could simply jail for contempt anyone who speaks out against it. If it could, you can be sure liberal judges would be rounding up conservatives.

The whirlwind will come after President Trump''s reelection when he appoints and the Senate confirms another 100 Federal Judges and another couple of Supreme Court Justices.

The US Supreme Court could order the immediate execution of an individual
given the right circumstances.
That is the nature of State Power.
There would be no appeal possible.
To whom would the appeal be made?
Who would stop them?
The President could find out about it afterward and screech.
The Congress could find out about it afterward and screech.
But that individual would still be dead.
Americans do not fear the government enough,
and the Government fears Americans not at all.

Nothing will be done about Schumer. He is the elected minority leader in the Senate. As such, he has enormous personal power and authority. He is invulnerable.
Like Pelosi, he cannot be moved from his current position.
He will not be charged with a felony for making a threat about two Justices of the Supreme Court. He has always had contempt for Republican Judges, after all.
The people of New York love him. He is so in-your-face. He is the ideal Senator, all bluster and puffery.
Sigh. It was such a nice nation once. How it has decayed into a swamp.

Hillary Clinton merely broke the rule of law; Schumer broke the spirit of the law and spit upon the constitutional foundation. He should pay and pay and pay. Dearly.
