Donald Trump Faces Possible Expulsion From SAG-AFTRA As Union's Board Sets Special Session.
The former star of The Apprentice – and soon-to-be former president – has been a member of the union and its forerunners, SAG and AFTRA, since 1989. The two unions merged in 2012.
Article XIV of the SAG-AFTRA Constitution states that members may be suspended or expelled for “engaging in actions antagonistic to the interests or integrity of the union.” Expulsion requires a two-thirds vote of the national board, but Tuesday’s meeting is just the the start of the process, which could take weeks to complete and includes a hearing on the charges against him.

In a remarkable pre-election open letter to Alabama, former Attorney General Jeff Sessions defended his decision to recuse himself from the so-called Russia collusion probe that led to his firing, explaining that it was what the “law required me to.”
Over three pages, Sessions, who is seeking to win the Senate seat he gave up to be attorney general in 2017, also said that he has never wavered from his support for President Trump, and he emphasized that even after leaving Washington he has remained a strong ally of the president.

MSNBC host Chris Matthews announced his retirement on air Monday, following a number of negative stories about Matthews in the last month.
“Let me start with my headline tonight, I’m retiring,” Matthews said at the open of his show. “This is the last Hardball on MSNBC, and obviously this isn’t for lack of interest in politics. As you can tell, I have loved every minute of my 20 years as host of ‘Hardball.'”

A federal judge has ordered former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to submit to a deposition by lawyers for the conservative group Judicial Watch over her fateful decision to use of a private email server.
Judge Royce Lamberth issued the order in response to litigation by the group that has dragged on for more than five years and seeks the public release of information from Clinton's tenure at the State Department.
'Any further discovery should focus on whether she used a private server to evade FOIA and, as a corollary to that, what she understood about State's records management obligations,' the judge wrote about the federal open records law.

Joe Biden likes to say he was the poorest man in the Senate. Bernie Sanders rails against the establishment. But family members have long benefited from the Democratic front-runners’ political careers.
Donald Trump has set a new bar for presidential self-dealing. But two of the Democratic front-runners have their own, lower-level history of mixing family and politics.
Since the 1970s, Senator Bernie Sanders, who has spent his entire career railing against the political establishment, and Joe Biden, who likes to point out that he was for years the poorest member of the Senate, have repeatedly directed campaign dollars to close relatives.

The powers that be at CNN were in full outrage mode yesterday after Republican Sen. Martha McSally called Manu Raju, one of their congressional correspondents, a “liberal hack,” and refused to answer his questions.
After the incident, much of the minimal airtime left over from trashing Donald Trump all day was expended in defense of Raju and the network, which they clearly feel, has been unfairly besmirched. I’ve got two words for them: toughen up.

“The USMCA is the first trade agreement that will result in more manufacturing jobs, not fewer. It is the first agreement that contains strong, enforceable labor and environmental standards that will help to level the playing field for American workers,” he continued. “ It is the first trade agreement that embraces the
