Their identity is no longer relevant.

Our client’s whistleblower complaint about President Trump’s efforts to solicit interference from Ukraine in the 2020 U.S. election was publicly released a month ago, and since then, speculation about the whistleblower’s identity has only increased. As each allegation in the complaint is substantiated by new witnesses, the president and his supporters remain fanatically devoted to bringing our client into the spotlight. But the reality is that the identity of the whistleblower is irrelevant.
In August, our client lawfully filed a detailed complaint that prompted the intelligence community inspector general to conduct a preliminary investigation.

The identity of the “whistleblower” is absolutely paramount. To say it is not is just not true. Their identity goes to credibility. If he, she or they are credible and confident in their accusation, they will come forward. Anything less, is meaningless.
In full disclosure: I did not read the entire article because it was from the WP. I am commenting on the headline.

I don't think you can try to bring down a president and keep your name out of it. Doesn't work that way. At least it didn't used to.

There is no whistleblower. There are no whistleblowers. There never was.

Time for Graham to subpoena the whistleblower and all of Shitthead witnesses. He has time for the media but not to do the right thing.

Idiots must have failed any law courses they ever took. the identity is ALWAYS relevant. And in any legal action, the accused is permitted to confront and cross-examine the witness testifying against them, The only possible exception is in pedophile cases and the minors they victimize. even that can be a problem, because in the past, Liberal prosecutors and psychologists have convinced minors to testify to things that NEVER HAPPENED.in their lust for personally beneficial convictions.
At some point, the Democrats MUST reveal their 'whistle blower' and let him be cross-examined by Trumps legal defenders, or justice is dead, and Civil War the only solution. At that point myself and thousands of American Patriots will make it their life's goal to capture or eliminate the plotters of this criminal coup. This includes the political players and their sycophants and the media who helped to spread the enabling propaganda.

A guy crawls out of a cave, throws a rock at your car and shatters your windshield almost causing an accident and making your car almost undrivable. Then he crawls back into his cave. Some want to say "never mind".
Sorry, this was a very dangerous act and the person who carried it out needs to be identified and their actions examined as to legality.
The whistleblower act was created in a legal framework. This, very likely, was an abuse of that system and should be examined carefully. How would you deal with a woman falsely accusing a man of rape? Just say the accuser/witness doesn't matter? The fact of the ACCUSATION stands its own? LEGALLY, we are REQUIRED, Constitutionally, to be able to confront our accusers and EXAMINE their assertions in open court. This is a foundational part of our justice system.
Why, otherwise, we would have people meeting in secret, without examinable witnesses, decreeing our guilt, irregardless of fact.

By definition there is no 'whistleblower.' No first hand info. Furthermore, if it doesn't make any difference who it was (irrelevant), release the name that everyone in DC knows anyway! They won't because this is a partisan hack!

“Their” can mean many things. Some use it as a singular form when they don’t want to use his or her.
This is a typical lawyer letter. Zero news.

The so-called whistleblower only filed a complaint 'lawfully' because the IG changed 'first hand information' to '2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th hand information'. How is it still lawful when the Whistleblower law doesn't apply to the President and the law is only limited to the agency crime itself? I want a name and a full investigation of the traitorous POS.

WP wants illegals to have more privileges than President Trump. No lawyers for Trump, secret meetings, leaks only to the WP, NY Times & CNN. I thought Trump put WP out of business. It was reported yesterday leaks from the non intelligence agency increased 89% over Obama years .That should concern everyone. The DNC aka the fake media is beyond corrupt.
