The assault rifle-toting madman who killed seven people and wounded more than 20 others in a roving Texas spree was identified Sunday as Seth Ator.Ator, a 36-year-old resident of Odessa, Texas, was first named as the assailant by CBS News, citing law-enforcement sources. When his gold Toyota pick-up truck was pulled over for a minor signaling infraction along a stretch of I-20 near Midland, Texas, on Saturday, Ator blasted approaching state troopers, seriously wounding one, authorities have said.He then peeled off, firing indiscriminately with his AR-style rifle out of the truck as he floored it towards Odessa, authorities said.
Madman indeed. However, the self-identified experts on mental health insist that the vast majority of people who murder utter strangers for no discernable reason are NOT mentally ill. They say that PDJT's proposal to increase mental health treatment capabilities will have "no discernable effect" on the incidence of mass murder.

Why post his name? Just refer to him as the insane madman that he is. Monster, savage, mental case, whatever description you can come up with, but don't make him notorious by publishing his name. Just an anonymous loser is what he should remain.

Didn't have much of a criminal record. He must have had drugs in his system.

Could we get a toxicology report on this one? My bet is if you look at one thing these nuts all have in common is drugs, which our brilliant politicians in order to make money are making easier to get and the open borders bring even more dangerous stuff into the market.

Apparently he was primarily shooting at cops, but in densely populated areas, and a rifle bullet will easily travel 300-500 yards (actually it can fly a mile without problem if fired a bit upwards) and wound someone.
When in densely populated areas, people all around, high risk of wild shots hitting someone.
Apparently some (hopefully many) of the wounded only received bullet fragments, which have far less
energy and penetrating power, much less likely to be fatal than an intact bullet.

Can't help but think this guy did all this in hopes of escaping from police. Just guessing, Ator did something before being pulled over. Would also like to know what drugs were in his system.

Kind of that soy boy image all too common today. Insolent and smug, not unlike so many antifa pukes we see. Until more pictures emerge, I don't see anger, just crazy.

Texans have been spared the additional expense of a trial and eventual incarceration. Ator died as he had lived.

I have a feeling this loon had been off his schizo meds for the last month or two and family members were concerned. Either that or, since the guy drove trucks, he was a hard core meth-madman.

“AR style,” rifle? It’s either an Armalite® firearm or it’s not; my understanding is the abbreviation refers to a manufacturer, not a pattern. Journalists, is there anything they don’t know?

The cycle continues. Summer shootings, which segue into hurricane season and the hysterical reporting of same. Then football season ramps up. After 50-60 years, I sense a pattern.
