"The check's in the mail" is a promise that payment's been sent even if it hasn't. It's a stalling tactic to avoid pressure from creditors, from those expecting payment.
That's the scam our government is running on the American people today, a ruse to tamp down expectations of justice. We all know that the FBI used an unverifiable document, the Steele dossier, to get a warrant to spy on Trump using the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). This dossier was used to start a counterintelligence operation to plant spies in Trump's campaign, to get a special counsel to impeach the president.

Because Hillary went sashaying away, head held high, accepted at all the Right cocktail parties we can only expect more of the same. Now it's Comey's turn and he will do the same. Barr missed the Boat by not prosecuting him. The IG Report was a waste of time and money and it will be the same for Durham's report. NOTHING is going to happen to ANY of those who were running the attempted coup. NOTHING! Barr has been in Washington too long to not cover for his Buds! Sad but true! I feel bad for Jim Jordan, Trey Gowdy, Doug Collins and the rest of those who spent countless hours uncovering the Coup. They have to be like a popped balloon about now!

It's been 18 years since 911, and I read the trial of the mastermind is scheduled to start in 2020, possibly. That is what I expect might happen here. Frankly, I have come to think that we would better off releasing all the information and trying this case in the court of public opinion. We are never going to get to any other court.

FTA: “If we can't indict and prosecute these clowns who have conspired to overthrow our government, who have committed the most egregious political crime in history, then stick a fork in our Republic. We're done.”
First of all, let me just say that if an article ever needed to be written and read, it is this one. It is a definite Must Read and everyone should share it. It addresses exactly why we should not be deterred from prosecuting the people who actively engaged in the most serious crimes against the Republic in its history. Follow the evidence and bring the perpetrators to justice regardless of their status or this will signal the end of equality under the law. The cat is out of the bag. Americans know what has transpired and why. If the government takes the easy way out and decides to give these criminals a tongue lashing instead of holding them accountable for sedition, Americans will sour on the whole political process because if justice will not prevail after all we know especially under a Trump administration, justice is a joke in this country. Sure, it may be half way decent at prosecuting violent felons but it will have failed at its most important founding principle of equality under the law. From this time forward we all will know that justice is swift and harsh for the little guy but never comes for the politically connected. We will have then moved into an age wherein it truly is the ruling class versus the country class. Despite the most inspirational, forward thinking, freedom providing document ever written, we will trash it all because we do not have the moral integrity to bring justice to the very people sworn to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America when they have committed high crimes. If that happens, we will be witnesses to the destruction of the Republic. God help us to get this right. Everything is at stake here. Justice must prevail.

These malefactors commited their crimes against All Americans, and All Americans. It's not right that they would be tried in the District of Corruption...replete with political scoundrels, bureaucratic drones, and multi-generational parasites.

We don't have a justice system any more; all we have is a legal system.

No. 6, The general venue statute provides that in federal court that when an offence occurs in more than one district, it may be prosecuted in any district in which the offence partially takes place. Therefore if Barr, et al, are looking at the big picture ( the conspiracy to prevent Trump from being elected and then from remaining President ), they can bring charges in a variety of districts. The road map is 18 USC 371, the conspiracy statute's first paragraph : conspiracy to defraud the United States. That's exactly what the cabal did.
I too am skeptical that it will happen, but we shall see.

AG Barr is not the President's wingman. The stuff published so far is merely supporting evidence in the trials for treason.
Oblabber may not do time but he will be exposed to history as a corrupt poser.
The deep staters are caught dead to rights. Four countries are caught w their pants down. Grant juries are proly already impaneled. No one's going wobbly.

There will be no justice until the msm starts reporting, investigating, and pushing for justice. The msm has swept the entire affair under the rug as requested by the dims and the deep state. The deep state wants this whole affair to disappear. The biggest coverup in our nations history. Currently, there are not enough Americans outraged that prosecutions have not started. Why? Because the lofos have been brainwashed and distracted with the dims presidential candidates and the China trade deal.
Barr and the deep state will react once their is sufficient pressure to do so. Then it will be up the them to decide who goes down and when. More of us need to demand justice and now. As the 2020 election year heats up, approach all of your candidates and the first question to ask them is when will the indictments come and when will the trials start, and prison terms be handed out.
Every republican candidate at all levels should make the crime itself and the coverup a main campaign talking point.

I am beginning to wonder if I will live long enough to any of these criminals indicted. Every day that goes by without any of them being punished makes "equal justice for all" more and more a cruel lie!
Also, calling the attempted overthrow of a properly elected government a "hoax" implies it was no more significant than an April fools day joke. Lives have already been destroyed by this witch hunt!

Nope. They're going to get away with it. We are not a nation of laws and equality under the law. We are no better than a banana republic.

I don't remember who but one of the "upper level pundits" (I really do remember but you know the ones who know it all) said yesterday that he didn't know if this was treason.
What the ......ll. If an attempt to overthrow the president/government isn't treason?????
Well, the guy was JUST a lawyer and wasn't sure this arose to the level of treason. Soooo. we gotta believe that there was maybe just a misdemeanor or perhaps a class eleventeen felony or two in all this. But beyond that we just have to roll over and understand that these cretans are just looking out for OUR country!!!!! And yes, he was a pro-Trumper!

Listen, you had a corrupt justice department for 8 solid years. You had the president's "wingman" who was protecting "his people."
That stuff is over. What do you think? You can round up these hall of fame legal schemers in a week?
Now would be a good time for conservative journalists to shine by vigilance and honest journalism. Not napalm reporting. Let Billy Jack Barr and Bull Durham get a chance at bat. They have yet face live pitching.

Can someone please write the article that is begging to be written, here, and is driving the decay of our national government into a crime syndicate? You can't convict Democrats in front of an African-American jury because their sole loyalty is to a race and a Party, not the Constitution. They have emerged in the modern era as tribalists, incapable of functioning in a constitutional democracy. So long as that is the case, Democrats will do what they want, when they want, in Washington, D.C., and nothing will come of it.

A posting that i read here seemed to me to be trying to tamp down any expectations we might have for the Attorney General to act. I sometimes skim, but that was the gist I got from the article. Heard, "God enters in when everything else has been exhausted". We pretty much have exhausted our options. We have to pray on our faces for our country. Psalm #69 seems to fit. It is "An Urgent Plea for Help in Time of Trouble", and it talks about sinking in the mire or the swamp. Our country is sinking in the mire of the swamp.
Also 1 Timothy Chapter 2 talks about praying for our leaders. We should cover our President with our prayers every single day. If we turn back to God, then He will turn back to us. The wonderful gift to the world of The United States of America is too precious just to give up without pleading to our God to rescue us.

Barr and Horowitz are weaklings. Any Democrat would have indicted Comey first, then let the legal fight run for a couple of years. Even if a DC jury in the end found for leaky Comey, his life would be destroyed like those of poor General Flynn and Papadopolus (not to mention Paul Manafort in Solitary). The Marxists are trying to impeach Trump for a false pee Dossier and the Department of Injustice cannot produce an indictment for mishandling government secrets. Since government secrets do not matter at all I hereby demand the complete release of the four FISA applications and all instructions from Chief Justice Roberts to his secret court.
Impunity, thy name is Comey, Brennan, Clapper, Lynch, Hussein, Yates, Priestap, James Baker, Susan Rice, Samantha Powers, Victoria Nuland, Sydney Blumenthal, Ohr, Nellie Ohr, Priestap, Pitienka, Strozk, Lisa Page, Mifsud, Halper, Downer, Perkins and Coies, Sussman, McCain, Clinton. It was the unsinkable coup d’état. There is no federal justice, disband the FBI before the G-men do more damage.

Have to agree wholeheartedly with # 13's comment. Made me remember how scary Halloween seems the first couple of times you see the goblins at your door. After that, you just shrug your shoulders and most folks simply join right in every October 31st.

#5- Precisely. God controls the universe and in Him we trust. God selects heads of nations and has given this country a gifted man, Donald John Trump, a man considered by some as a strong leader, much like Cyrus, the Great King of Persia. In Isaiah it is written, “…who says of Cyrus, ‘He is my SHEPHERD, and he shall fulfill all my purpose’; saying of Jerusalem, ‘She shall be built,’ and of the temple, ‘Your foundation shall be laid.’” (44:28) Cyrus exhibited concern and guidance, much like a SHEPHERD provides for his flock, and issued a decree allowing the Israelites to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple. God controls the universe: “Putting everything in subjection under his feet. Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him.” (Hebrews 2:8) “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5)

Think of Barr as the kid trying to plug the dike (no offense to those who offend me-should it be dyke?), Trump can't do fix this. Barr is being over whelmed by CORRUPTION within. He simply cannot plug all these (A) holes at the same time. CLITon was depending on making all of this: A L L of this go away. WE THE PEOPLE have been dumbed down and left for dead...and we may well be. If not for Donald J. Trump, we would be dead as a nation NOW already. Can WE THE PEOPLE expect a fair election? This I doubt. The petulant spoiled arses that have been 'elected' do not want anything LEGAL to happen in the USA these days...and many within are with them.

So far, not ONE SINGLE indictment, let alone a conviction and a sentence, of ANY kind.
It is getting harder and harder to believe the Washington isn't a "law free zone", where any and all in positions of power are entirely exempt from the laws that the rest of us have to follow or wind up in
prison.

I re-read my post above and i think i did not express myself too clearly. I was trying to say that i read an article fairly recently on Lucianne where the author was trying to go back in time in Attorney General Barr's career and try to find something negative to say about him, and I just thought it seemed as if it was an attempt to make the Attorney General put some brakes on what he was doing because they were trying to diminish him.

Excellent article. Thoughtful comments from L-Dotters on all sides of this issue. I also wonder, how much pressure is being applied behind the scenes to sweep the details of and participants in yet another political crime under the rug "for the good of the country?" Since most Americans have no idea that an attempted coup even happened, the deepstate and media can redefine the issue and dismiss it "for the good of the country." Apart from divine intervention and/or a seriously ticked off PDJT the guilty will go free "for the good of the country."
"More things are wrought (worked) by prayer than this world dreams of" (Alfred Tennyson.) So, for those of you who believe in the power of prayer, "for the good of the country," let's get on it and stay on it.
