After he fired the longtime Clinton crony James Comey, President Trump’s choice to head the Federal Bureau of Investigation was Christopher Wray, a man of “impeccable credentials.”
Two years later, President Trump finds that the FBI has no leadership and the director is protecting the same deep-state squad that mounted an illegal coup against the president.

Excellent piece...good find, OP! Straight and to the point. I hope Trump is planning to replace Wray after the election next year; I doubt he'd do it before then.

Once the report comes out on the coup, Wray should be fired for not fixing the FBI.

“impeccable credentials.” seem to describe a whole lot of these dirt bags.

FBI is so lost and Damaged. Terminate the entire department and start from scratch.

The rot runs deep. It may be impossible to reach upper management without being completely corrupt.
We would be better off if trump fired the entire upper management and replace them with janitors and cooks.
As a more serious alternative, temporarily replace them with active duty military officers. At least some of them might still be loyal Americans.

OK, now we need to get rid of Wray.
And any new FBI chief needs to have been an actual LE professional, preferably someone who has attended (and passed) the FBI academy.

Trump has given Wray a very public warning via a tweet. Wray ignores that at his peril. Mueller and Sessions can't protect Wray now.

It reminds me of a scene from "Ice Station Zebra" in which British operative Patrick McGoohan explains the situation to submarine captain Rock Hudson, who asks when McGoohan realized that someone they were discussing was the Russian spy, to which McGoohan replied: "The moment I saw his credentials were impeccable."

I read somewhere that Wray was recommended to PDJT by Rosenstein. If true, that was reason enough for PDJT to select someone else. Even someone from the real underlings would have been better. Maybe even a name plucked from the phone book.

The FIB has to be disbanded into the other 17 intelligence community useless agencies. The entire rank-and-file is corrupted by the overthrow attempt. No Whistleblowers ever came forward. Chrstoher Wray was a mistake, suggested by Chris Christie. If the awful CIA wishes redemption they better show their magic in Venezuela soon or also be fired as failed National investments.

That first pancake off the griddle....both Sessions and Wray.
Hopefully Gina Haspel is better at her job than both of these.

It's hard to believe that this coup participant is still on the government payroll. Why on earth does Trump keep these people. We don't need a Wray of criminal coverup.....we need a RAY of hope that these criminals will be prosecuted and jailed!!!

Replace Wray NOW! I read he is hiding evidence because he wants the FBI to be held in high esteem. Those days are gone. Time to clean out the swamp. Wray shouldn't even be involved he wasn't the head of the FBI when this was going on.

I don't expect Wray to be around much longer. He'll be gone well before the next election.

Wray impressed me immediately as a weak company man. Very poor choice on the President's part. He has also failed to purge the Obamunists. Huge blunder. His advisors are failing miserably to clear out the moles and to find good replacements.
