On February 15, 2016, the National Review took unprecedented action. In an all-out plea to Republican voters to stop Donald Trump before it was too late, the magazine enlisted 22 of the right’s most prominent voices to band together and throw support elsewhere, to save the party. The “Conservatives Against Trump” issue didn’t move the needle. Despite a lineup of pleas against Trump that included Glenn Beck, Cal Thomas, Mona Charen, Michael Medved and Dana Loesch, Trump surged in the polls that month, expanding his lead over primary opponents at a critical juncture of the race.
It´s hard to learn when you have the brain capacity of a slug. All these talking heads are faces, microphones, & a script. They repeat the same schitt. They will do so until they´re arrested for sedition/treason, prosecuted, convicted, executed. WWG1WGA! MAGA!

I put little credence in this list. Long ago RS was adsorbed into the socialist column. I think I bought the first couple of issues when it first came out. None since. Not a credible news source.

You know what was fake news? Most of the Russiagate story. There was no Trump-Russia conspiracy, that thing we just spent three years chasing. The Mueller Report is crystal clear on this.. News audiences were betrayed, and sooner or later, even the most virulently Trump-despising demographics will realize it and tune us out. The only way to reverse the damage is to own how big of a screw-up this was, but after the last three years, who would hold their breath waiting for that?
Unbelieveable. From the freakin´ Rolling Stone, of all places.

So now, when their crusade has failed, they crawl out and decry their own effort? I hope so.

National Review hasn´t been actual conservatives in a very long time. What they are is the term cuckservative. They have totally forgotten who foots the bills for their buddies in DC and that is truly sad.
As to Michael Medved, he is a democrat in neocon clothing and always will be. The only thing I will listen to him regarding is his American history series. He is Top Notch on that score.
When NR went into their rage filled diatribe and tantrum in that issue, they lost me as a reader. I cannot begin to describe the feelings of anger I felt when I took a curious look into the archives of those articles. Even VDH was angry and filled with rage. Since none of them have truly apologized for the anger shown voters, I no longer pay attention to any of them.

I know a few closed-minded people, most of them young. But I´ve never seen so many now, and they are just about all in the left media. And they talk about the hate of others all the time. Isn´t hate what really fuels their dysfunction? Aren´t these people supposed to be somewhat smart? They are a laughing stock to America and people all over the world. I´m sure Putin is getting a big kick out of this.

The National Review was a big loser with their stance on Trump. In fact the Never Trumpers are all big losers. One of their magazines has already folded. With Steve Hayes and Jonah Goldberg going off on their own I wonder where National Review stands now.

I don´t think the writer ought to be worried. Those who recognize the MSM for what they are have already tuned out, and the public memory is notoriously short.
Trump´s resignation or impeachment may not be "around the corner", but the next MSM crock of [bleep] is, and most people will accept whatever they saw on "the news" the previous evening. Nothing will change.
I think there is a substantial difference between "credibility" and being believed. Credibility is a moral or intellectual concept, and the MSM completely lost that long ago. But being believed is another matter, and as long as they reign as "the news" in people´s minds the circuses and outrages will continue.

"But they’re not mad, which makes it look like a case of intentional blindness"
Oh no, you don´t get off that easy. SOME of the media were VERY willing partners in illegal leaks. They had an agenda and worked with people in the government to push that agenda. Others are fanatics that were delighted to bash Trump. Many are still doing it. They are biased to the point that their value as "reporters" is below zero.
For decades we have been complaining about media bias and the media blew us off and kept getting worse because they were getting away with it. Now they have gone so far that they are exposed as enemies of America and there is no way for them to deny it.

The one name that bothers me is Dana Loesch. Very disappointing if true.

Matt Taibbi cites several instances for which he laments that reporters weren´t told by leakers that their information might be false.
So, according to Mr. Taibbi, investigative reporters were the victims of false reporting.
Mr. Taibbi is trying to issue excuses and a blanket mea culpa from the press to the pubic but is failing miserably.
