The decision to file a fresh set of charges against Jussie Smollett now rests in the hands of John Lausch, Chicago’s US Attorney who was handpicked by President Trump. (Snip) the FBI has been working with the Chicago police department since early in the investigation and processed all of the evidence in the case, cops have said. The feds and investigators with the US Postal Inspection Service have been also probing a death threat letter Smollett received a week prior to the purported beatdown. That means the “Empire” star could potentially face federal charges including obstruction of justice,

I think he´ll be indicted. After that, he should be squeezed until he gives up Kamala, Sparticus, Barry and the Mooch...and the DA

droopydog:The reason charges were dropped, in my opinion, is Smollett was going to sing like a bird about his co-conspirators you listed in your post. I would not be surprised if Smollett has an unfortunate accident.

It doesn´t help his case that Smollet is so full of himself. I hope they do file fresh charges, I hope we get to see his sainted mother in the courtroom during the trial.

Sounds encouraging. This laughable involvement of the Obamas only exposes the dirt that followings them where ever they go. They must remember, they are no longer in the White House and things come out to the public.

The last honest public man to come out of Chicago was Al Capone, at least he provided you a product for your money. The Chicago way has done nothing but breed these crooked pols and their crooked friends.

Smollett has a more lasting and damaging problem than probation and fines: his reputation is shot even if Hollywood attempts to rehab him. More than that he will be a laughingstock for life - worse than a jail sentence for an obvious egomaniac.
Corrupt Chicago officials should be the real target especially as one domino falling would set the rest off.

If they file charges, they should file charges against that State Attorney, too.

This matter brings to mind what happened to Mike Nifong after trying to railroad Duke’s LaCrosse players. We’re seeing first hand, obstruction of justice with a Chicago Mob twist.

Jussie´s going to have to hurry up and get to all of America´s golf courses so he can find the real MAGA hat wearers who attacked him before this racist prosecutor tries to file those charges.

Indictment hell yes! Conviction in Chicago? All they need is one Jesse Jackson or obama sycophant on the jury and it’s OJ deja vu nullification all over again! Good luck hope he’s indicted and convicted! These fake hate crimes committed by leftists hating President Trump need to be dealt with harshly or they will continue!

President Trump is saying about the Jussie charges, "It is an embarrassment to our Nation!" AND that the FBI and DOJ are going to look into this. Not real hopeful but lets see what happens.

The white powder (which I believe was sugar) that Smollett (or his pals) sent to himself could get the man (and I use that term loosely) into hot water. Faking anthrax in the U.S. Mail is not a good look.
This guy gives gays a bad name. What a limp-wristed wuss! There ARE gays that vote Republican and act like men out there. Too bad he isn´t one of them.

If Obama had a hand in having the charges dropped then Smollett spiking the ball in the end zone and dancing that might be all they get to enjoy as this might worsen.
Obama never was known to make wise choices most often very wrong ones. This stunt has other conspirators in it and Smollett when pinched looking at long jail time just might sing for a short one. Obama with his eternal ´race war´ ambitions just might leave a legacy after all and it isn´t Obamacare this time.

Maybe the FBI can assign Mueller a case that has actual evidence this time. He just happens to have a lot of time on his hands.
I don´t think that Michelle, Tina and Kim thought there would be such outrage from the police and the public over this travesty. These types are accustomed to not having the people protest when they break the law.

Wouldn´t it be icing on the cake to see Michelle and Barack standing before a judge pleading not guilty to charges of obstruction in the Smollett case.....
I read on some obscure blog that the Obamas wanted this case to ignite a race war. That seems to be something they´re capable of. Barack must be seething at the complete destruction of the Obama legacy, not to include Obamacare. Winning stills feels pretty good I must say.

If there are any black people still wondering why they are often looked at with suspicion, all they have to do is consider what happened here.
Had Smollett been a white man accused of perpetrating a race-based hate crime against blacks, the case would not have been dropped.
This case is all about racism, piled upon the racism already committed by Smollett, as well as political obstruction by, you guessed it, more black racists!
I hope the Feds convict the idiot and give him maximum punishment. He escaped the State punishment, because of racism, but he better not escape the Federal punishment.

Smollett should drop to his knees and thank the good lord that the Clintons aren´t involved. Arkycide would have already happened if they were.

The argument is being made by libtards that this case parallels the Mueller probe, meaning that the cases are being closed with finality, while too many questions have arisen. Untrue. While the Smollett case is [for now] sealed tighter than a new bottle of Tylenol, the political yammering about the Mueller inquiry keeps it very much alive.

Any true investigation should also look into Mooch and Smidgen and their obstruction of justice in this case.

DO Mr. Lausch. Whilst you are at it, check the highly incompetent Foxx dame. Foxxy has a long history of being very lenient..... They wonder in Chicago why every few minutes someone gets killed?? It´s because of trash like Foxxxxxxy!

The feds also should look at all of Foxx´s emails and text messages from that time. As I recall, within the first 48 hours the CPD began to smell a rat, and the whole thing then went dark for 2 weeks while they waited for the brothers to return from Nigeria. Who was Foxx talking to and emailing during this time? What are the dates on the emails and texts?
At some point between 48 hours after the event and 2 weeks later when the brothers were questioned, Smollett changed from victim to possible offender. Lay the Foxx communications over the CPD timeline and see what pops out. Did she let something slip? To his family or a family friend? To a political friend of her own? Maybe while she was hobnobbing in Hollywood at the Oscar parties as a fresh new political up-and-comer? Is her office now desperate to hide something? Inquiring minds ....
