President Trump complained Wednesday that he was never thanked for allowing Sen. John McCain’s funeral celebration, escalating a feud with the McCain family and drawing the ire of senators on Capitol Hill who told the president he was embarrassing himself. Mr. Trump, during a speech to workers at an Army tank plant in Ohio, took a detour in his remarks to blame the press for picking at years of scar tissue between the two men which has lasted even beyond McCain’s death in August. The president said he has “certain reasons” for disliking the former senator, including his votes

I can definitely say that I am more embarrassed about the Republicans than I am with Trump. Trump aa a President has been MORE productive than all the Republicans put together.

Trump is trying to do things FOR this country. McPain always seemed to be doing things TO this country. McPain is not some holy icon in my eyes and I´m tired of his family acting as though they and his memory are untouchable. He should´ve been honest and just changed his (R) to a (D)....he voted that way all the time, anyway. He didn´t do this country any favors any would´ve been a lousy president.

McStain was a disgrace as a Senator. Corrupt, a liar to the voters, he voted to keep the communist program, Obamacare and indeed due to his pathetic run for President, gave us 8 years of Ex-Dictator Obama, who came very close to destroying our country.
Refreshing as always to have a President who is not afraid to speak the truth about the mean spirted McStain.
"Republicans tell Trump he´s embarrassing himself"! This coming from republicans who have absolutely no shame about betraying their voters and this country.
Please keep trumpeting the Truth, Mr. President.

The do-nothing but defy the will of the people Republicans should just sit down and be quiet. They have abdicated their right to scold the President about anything.
We all know who McCain was and what he did to try and destroy this President. That was not an act of valor. It was an act of a vengeful, bitter, old man who believed he was the most important person in American policitcs and was willing to commit sedition to get even with the man who had bested him. Let’s be clear, McCain was not an honorable man. His actions in regards to the Steele Dossier proves his lack of character and integrity. He had a history of betrayal that goes way back. The media ignore McCain’s lack of character but we the people know exactly who and what he was. Pretending he was someone to be revered is a joke. He was a primary player in an attempt coup. Never ever forget that. This supposed icon of the Senate was willing to provide what we now know is totally false documentation that he knew was a total fabrication to destroy the Republican candidate for President and when that did not work out was then used to attempt to unseat a duly elected President. This old man was a critical part of the coup d’etat. He was no hero.

John McCain was despicable. I remember he begged Sarah Palin to come to AZ to help him because he was losing in the primary. She did and he won. Then he trashed her by telling her that she was not invited to his funeral. What a disgusting person he was.

They forget the swipes at Trump by speakers at McCain´s funeral. The entire McCain family should be ashamed for permitting such a disgraceful spectacle. But then, I suppose a disgraceful funeral befitted an angry and disagreeable man. Contrast the GHWB funeral, which was the definition of dignity and taste. And there you go.
Nice piece of misdirection, by the way, making the press look over there.

I´m more embarrassed with the dirty dozen who voted against Trumps wall than anything Trump says about McCain. What would these fake republicans say if McCain released fake dossiers on them? This sounds like something Romney would say. Did the fake republicans forget McCain flew back from Arizona to vote against repealing Obamacare? Name one accomplishment from McCain, just One!

Fortunately Pres. Trump does not care what RINOs think. McCain would stab any of them in the back and they would love it. Good news- he´s still dead.

It would surprise me if his grave did not smell of urine. McCain was ugly inside and out, no way to put a pretty bow on that pig.

The fact is McCain was an accessory to US taxpayer funded mass murder, a constant threat to the people and country he supposedly served. For decades he loudly promoted Unwinnable Wars-itself an act of depravity. European elites wanted their new $1.2 billion NATO hq in Brussels (w. swimming pool) to be named for McCain, saying even though McCain was an American senator, everyone across Europe felt he was one of their own. (Newsweek, 8/30/18).
No surprise, just more proof that he blatantly disrespected Americans and was a traitor. If he´d been a patriot, he would´ve insisted on lining tanks along the 2000 mile open US southern border.

Maybe if the Republicans that are wringing their collective would actually grow a pair and stick up for Trump once in a while, Trump wouldn´t have to be on Twitter so much, fighting endless smears and attacks... by Republicans.

I agree with most of the comments here and would add that anyone who is pushing the WashTimes/RINO/NeverTrumper narrative is outing themselves. Take note.

McPain was desperately needing help because the RINO standard bearer was very unpopular among the rank-and-file BASE of the party--
He called on Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate and suddenly, there was life in his campaign... until his people tried to put her in a box and back stab her because she was MORE popular than he was!
Without her, he would have probably lost another 10 million more votes than he did in his non-campaign against Nobama. The proof of this is the 70+ seats the republicans won after TWO years of the regime and the Christmas Eve last-minute passing of Nobamacare.
NOT single republican voted for Nobamacare, and every election we hear how they will vote to repeal it, then it was replace it, and NOW non of the have the political will or courage to do a damn thing about it!
When McPain voted to CONTINUE Nobamacare renegging on his word, that was a watershed moment and then when he PROMOTED the Steele dossier to the media that was the last straw.
The lack of standing on the Constitution and the Rule of Law has really gotten us in to some terrible predicaments, and McPain HASTENED and made problems worse for the party and the nation because of his reaction to comments and opinions from Mr. Trump who became President instead of him.

McCain doesn´t need Trump´s help to look bad. He and his family have successfully managed that. I wish he would stop the sniping, too, because if he did, McCain´s name would disappear from the headlines--and that can happen soon enough.

I have no love for McCain.
I was truly saddened by Trump´s remarks in Lima yesterday. Fact is, I think he did embarrass himself in that venue. Wrong venue for such remarks. I hope it´s the end of this feud, arguing with the legacy of a dead man and his snotty daughter. Really...

Trump does not care what a bunch of entrenched swamp creatures think of what he says and does!!!!!
He says and does what he believes. And that is why he is our president, not just another talking head spewing the swamp´s lines!!!!!
