Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said Thursday she didn't need to a "ton of circling back" with reporters because of the access afforded her by former President Donald Trump, in a reference to successor Jen Psaki's go-to line when she can't directly answer questions.
Reacting to a "Fox & Friends" montage of Psaki saying she would "circle back" with various reporters during her six weeks with the Biden White House, McEnany said she had the advantage of knowing where Trump stood on issues. "I wish Jen Psaki all the best, it is a very hard job but that being said, we took great pains in our administration

In 2012, Attorney General Eric Holder appeared before at Northwestern University Law School to announce President Obama’s “kill list” policy, under which he reserved the right to unilaterally order the death of any American deemed an imminent threat. After all, Holder explained, “the Constitution guarantees due process, not judicial process.” The response was as chilling as the message: The audience of judges, lawyers and law students applauded an attorney general who just told them that any of them could be killed tomorrow on the president’s order.
Some of us denounced the "kill list" policy, which foreshadowed what has become a campaign against due process.

Security officials testified Tuesday that they believe the Capitol riot on Jan. 6 was a "coordinated attack" as they were pressed by senators over the circumstances leading to the security failure. Former U.S. Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund, former Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Michael Stenger and former House Sergeant-at-Arms Paul Irving, as well as Metropolitan Police Department acting chief Robert Contee, appeared before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on Tuesday, in the first Senate hearing to examine the "security failures" that led to the breach of the U.S. Capitol last month.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, sounded the alarm about President Biden's oil restrictions, pressing his Interior secretary nominee, Rep. Deb Haaland, D-N.M., on an executive order she said targeted her state.
"When we see these executive orders coming out of the White House that not only impact a resource-based state like Alaska, but actually call us out by name," she told Haaland during her confirmation hearing Tuesday. "We're one of only two states in the nation that were specifically targeted by President Biden's Day One executive order," Murkowski said.

The largest conservative caucus in the House is circulating a new playbook on how to fight back against President Biden's $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill by exposing each of the ''liberal goodies" tucked inside the package.
The Republican Study Committee (RSC) authored a three-page memo to conservatives to outline "all the left-wing items Democrats are hoping the public won’t find about." Fox News first obtained a copy of the fact sheet that is slated to be widely circulated Monday.

Joe Biden is conning the American people. He is lying about COVID and he is lying about the economy. We are not in the midst of a dark long winter. We are on the cusp of a bounteous blooming spring.
President Biden doesn’t want you to know the good news. Why? Because then you will refuse to write him and his Democrat colleagues a bit fat $1.9 trillion blank check.
And, because if the virus disappears in the next few months, even the most gullible CNN-watching Biden groupie will know that Donald J. Trump conquered COVID, not Joe Biden.

Before playing the music and lighting the lights, fans who choose to binge "The Muppet Show" on Disney+ will be shown an "offensive content" warning ahead of select episodes. The classic series, which first aired in 1976, was released on the streaming service on Friday. “This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together,” the disclaimer states.

A Dominican-American Bronx educator, one year away from retirement, says she was fired after refusing to participate in the cross-arm, "Wakanda forever" salute to Black power. Rafaela Espinal, who identifies as Afro-Latina, says she was chastised for repeatedly refusing to mimic the gesture popularized in the 2018 Marvel Comic’s "Black Panther," during superintendent meetings, reported the New York Post Saturday.
According to a Manhattan Supreme Court suit against the city’s Department of Education Chancellor Richard Carranza and other top officials earlier this month, Espinal was "admonished and told that it was inappropriate for her not to participate" in the salute by the then-Bronx superintendent Meisha Ross Porter.

William F. Buckley was one of the great conservatives of the 20th century — a voice that articulated, remarkably well, the values of conservatism. As he declared about the magazine he founded, National Review, "It stands athwart history, yelling Stop, at a time when no other is inclined to do so, or to have much patience with those who so urge it." But what Rush Limbaugh did was bring that message to millions. And not just the message — he brought both comedy and empathy to the message. He brought joy to it. He showed millions of Americans not only that conservatism is fine, it's fantastic

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez joined a chorus of New York lawmakers demanding an investigation into Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s handling of nursing homes during the coronavirus pandemic.
The New York Democrat said in a statement: "I support our state’s return to co-equal governance and stand with our local officials calling for a full investigation of the Cuomo administration’s handling of nursing homes during COVID-19. Thousands of vulnerable New Yorkers lost their lives in nursing homes throughout the pandemic. Their loved ones and the public deserve answers and transparency from their elected leadership, and the Secretary to the Governor’s remarks warrant a full investigation."
