Utah Republicans to select nominee for
Mitt Romney’s open US Senate seat

Nearly a dozen Utah Republicans vying to replace Mitt Romney in the U.S. Senate are set to square off Saturday for the party nomination in a race expected to reveal the brand of political conservatism that most appeals to modern voters in the state. Romney has long been the face of the party’s more moderate wing, but his retirement from the Senate opens a door for Utah’s farther-right faction. Observers are closely watching whether voters select a successor whose politics align more with Romney’s or with Utah’s other U.S. senator, conservative Mike Lee, who supports former President Donald Trump.

This may sound crass and abrasive, but Utahans please don't select someone simply because they are Mormon. Have other qualities to make the decision. There was a time Mittens' background resume` was impeccable, but once he became Pierro Delecto and joined forces with the RiNOs he sold out his values for popularity and profit. I voted for McPain because of Sarah Palin on the ticket having served as a Governor of Alaska. I voted for Mittens for the same reason of being a former Governor and for saving the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. In hindsight, I could never vote for NoBama, but I regret having voted for both ot those candidates for eventually selling U.S. out. McPain with his ONE VOTE could have ended the socialist NoBamaCare boondoggle which caused degradation of the middle class being forced to pay higher deductibles and co-pays and now Bidenflation due to reckless overspending doing ever GREATER damage to the middle class who carry the nation on its backs. Add in all these ILLEGAL ALIENS which McPain's "Gang of 8" championed, and you have the ruination of our nation from debt and NoBama/Hitlery/Soros creating social upheaval to destabilize the Republic away from its roots. So its up to Utah to make wise and the best choice which will not betray the citizens of their state and the nation!

Chinese nationals are crossing America’s southern border at a rapid rate. On Wednesday alone, the U.S. Border Patrol encountered 206 Chinese nationals crossing into the San Diego sector, Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin reported. But the illegal entry of Chinese nationals into America through the Border Patrol’s San Diego sector isn’t new. Chinese individuals long have worked with criminal cartels to get into the U.S., former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott says, but the numbers have shot up.

It came right off the bat on his sham persecution of Donald Trump. And now Alvin Bragg is in panic mode after learning Trump has this ace in the hole. Criminal defense attorney Arthur Aidala told CNN’s Anderson Cooper that Bragg’s case is taking on water and sinking fast. The lynchpin of Bragg’s case that Donald Trump falsified business records as part of a fabricated conspiracy to steal the 2016 election is the testimony of disgraced former lawyer Michael Cohen.

President Biden took the stage at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner on Saturday and cracked jokes about his old age. Biden spoke before a crowd of nearly 3,000 journalists, celebrities and Washington insiders at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C., as hundreds of anti-Israel protesters rallied outside. The black-tie annual event gives Biden a major platform to speak to voters — and flex his sense of humor — while his approval rating sits at a historic low ahead of the November election. Biden, 81, made jokes to make light of voters’ concerns about electing him into office for another four years in his advanced age. The 2024 election is in full swing.

Donald Trump says he wants to hold a major campaign event at New York’s Madison Square Garden featuring Black hip-hop artists and athletes. His aides speak of making appearances in Chicago, Detroit and Atlanta with leaders of color and realigning American politics by flipping Democratic constituencies. But five months before the first general election votes are cast, the former president’s campaign has little apparent organization to show for its ambitious plans. The Trump campaign removed its point person for coalitions and hasn’t announced a replacement. The Republican Party’s minority outreach offices across the country have been shuttered and replaced by businesses that include a check-cashing store,

Top aides to President Biden secretly hatched a plan this past fall to replace White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre by recruiting outside allies to nudge her out the door, The Post has learned. Jean-Pierre, who made history in May 2022 by becoming the first black and first openly gay person to hold the position, had developed the exasperating habit of reading canned answers directly from a binder to reporters at her regular briefings — offering what her superiors viewed as a less-than-compelling pitch for the 81-year-old Biden as he readied his re-election campaign. De facto White House communications chief Anita Dunn, 66, the wife of Biden personal attorney Bob Bauer,

The protests, which began when students took over Columbia University’s Morningside Heights campus lawn last week, have mushroomed nationwide. Writer Ray Bradbury once said, “Living at risk is jumping off the cliff and building your wings on the way down.” In Thursday’s case before the Supreme Court on the immunity of former President Donald Trump, nine justices appear to be feverishly working with feathers and glue on a plunge into a constitutional abyss. It has been almost 50 years since the high court ruled presidents have absolute immunity from civil lawsuits in Nixon v. Fitzgerald. The court held ex-President Richard Nixon had such immunity for acts taken “within the ‘outer perimeter’ of his official responsibility.”

The Supreme Court justice who authored the Dobbs ruling overturning Roe v. Wade jumped headlong Wednesday into the debate about whether a fetus is entitled to the same rights as a person. Abortion-rights advocates were concerned ahead of arguments that the case about whether Idaho’s abortion ban violated a federal emergency care law might be used to advance the fight for fetal rights. The Department of Justice argued that the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) requires hospitals that take Medicare funds to provide stabilizing treatment to a patient in an emergency, even if that treatment is an abortion.

Everyone knows that political pundits, social media influencers, and the corporate media love a good narrative. And one of their favorites for years has been the claim that Arizona is trending blue—that a demographic shift toward Democrats is inevitable. This ‘conventional wisdom’ is repeated so often that much of the Republican political class in the state has accepted it as fact. Some are even advising candidates that the only path forward for Republicans is to abandon their conservative principles, embrace center-left policy solutions, and settle for a future of divided government.

Ford Motor Company reported a whopping $132,000 loss on each electric vehicle (EV) sold during the first three months of 2024, amassing a $1.3 billion loss. The auto manufacturer’s electric vehicle unit revealed Thursday that they experienced a 20 percent decrease in sales volume and were forced to slash prices due to low consumer demand, CNN reported. The revenue for Ford’s EV car, the Model e, plunged by 84 percent to about $100 million, which the company blamed on EV price cuts across the auto industry. “That resulted in the $1.3 billion loss before interest and taxes (EBIT), and the massive per-vehicle loss in the Model e unit,” the publication noted.
