Biden’s plan for a 44% cap gain tax is simply to negotiate a slightly less harmful increase to 38%. With a one vote margin in the House, Repubs will have a difficult time stopping tax increases and the termination of the pro growth Trump tax cuts. 3. Biden and Dems aren’t giving generous welfare benefits to 10+ million more illegals for nothing. The threat of losing free rent, free medical, free food, free lawyers along with possible deportation will produce eager Biden voters. Combine illegals voting with the Dem’s voter fraud campaign and Biden, Kamala, Newsom and their ilk will never lose. Holding onto power is more important to Dems than holding onto our country.

Most of our net worth is in real estate (land and my office) that we purchased 25 years ago. We have depreciated the improvements over the years and have very little basis left. Whenever we sell it will be almost entirely capital gains. If Biden is re-elected, we are going to have to liquidate everything before his 50% capital gains tax kicks in.

Have the BIden crime family paid taxes on all their ill gotten gains? They need to ante up first before hitting hard working people up for even more money.

Demoncrats are always wanting to raise all taxes, especially capital gains. They always tell us this is taxing the rich even though those of us in the middle are the ones hurt most. Dems always tell people how much more revenue this will bring in although it has been proven over and over to actually decrease revenue. So everything they say is a lie but it has the advantage (to them) of destroying the economy for individuals and small business whom they have an incredible hatred toward. To add to the harm this time, they are trying to apply capital gains taxes to imagined increases in value for assets that haven't even been sold so that an unimaginable amount off cash would have to be kept on hand in order to hold onto any asset, thereby destroying the ability of us small people being able to invest in any individual property even more. Communism, here we come!!!

By the way, the cap gains on property will be taxed annually, as I understand it. You say, But the Bidens and Kerry/Hines, Obamas, and probably most of their donors, et al, own multiple properties, won't they stop such taxation in their own interest? No worries! They do not live under the burden of the laws they excrete. Examples abound of how the elites across the panoply of commie/socialist regimes are exempt from onerous laws and taxes... and they'll rule over the rest of us with the "iron fist."

This would really wreck the whole system of stock and bond investment for retirement by most people. Dems DESTROY and their Communist plans always cause poverty and misery. Free markets create wealth, comfort, and good lives.

They want to tax "unrealized value". So, you bought a home for $60K 35 years ago, and it's paid off and you live in it. If you sold it, it would sell for $190K, but you intend to live in it, not sell it......so, you owe taxes on $130,000 that you NEVER HAVE GOTTEN. That is how your literally destroy the middle class in this country. These literal Communists are intent on destroying the economy, and impoverishing everyone.
