President Joe Biden on Tuesday said he was 'stunned' to find out that the Cookie Monster has been a victim of 'shrinkflation' and slammed chip companies for charging the same price for bags when you get 'a helluva lot fewer'.
The 81-year-old president sided with the Sesame Street character in his fury at businesses, especially snack companies, giving Americans less for what they spend.
His remarks were a response to the blue furry muppet posting on his X: 'Me hate shrinkflation! Me cookies are getting smaller'.

I hope Brandon is even more stunned by the shrinkflation in his vote count on November 5.

Sthis is just a nefarious plot on the part of the people who brought you the Food Pyramid to decrease your snacking.
They discovered just taxing the products wasn't working.

and what Biden crony made the Grouch video?
So that he could use it.
Didn't his "Official" dietary and food Czars insist that people needed to be compelled to get smaller portions...for their own Good?

The Cookie Monster is a puppet, Joe. Much like yourself. But stuffing your face with ice cream and having conversations with puppets and responding to their tweets isn’t a good look for anyone over 5 years old. Btw, shrinkflation is a result of
bidenomics.

My heart bleeds for him as he realizes his policies have made his cookies shrink. Maybe he needs to go to the grocery store and compare the ads for food in 2020 compared with todays and get a clue as to what his administration has done to us poor folk..

When my son was very young he and I would watch Sesame Street together and have lunch. That was almost 40 years ago. ( Before they became woke.) Sounds like Jill is doing that with Joe. That's nice. It's a good way to learn your numbers. And big words like Bidenomics, inflation, and what BS stands for. I suggest they make Cookie Monster nice big cookies out of cricket flour.

The alternative is to raise the price of the original size bag of cookies to reflect the results of 'Bidoomnomics'. Everything the cookie maker uses to make cookies went up in price too. And I'll bet the price was also recently raised, just before the weight change came. People are reacting with stunned shock at steep price increases, and will turn to an off-brand cheaper product (imported from favored nations?) or go without cookies. Those steep prices are changing purchasing habits all around the country. And our sequestered, well-heeled elite rulers have no idea about the lives of grocery shoppers, gas tank fillers and Friday paycheck dispersing bill payers. But then I suspect the lot of our leaders get their economic information from sock-puppets.

Biden's progressive government market interventions have created persistent inflation in the market place, exacerbated over his time in office. For example, if you paid a dollar for a 5 inch #2 pencil when Biden took office in 2021and for the same dollar, after three years of Biden's destructive economic policies, it will buy you only a 3" pencil nub it is primarily because Biden's policies devalued the dollar in his maniacal rush to erase Trump's presidency. Specifically, the value of a 2024 dollar is about 32 percent less than the value of a 2021 dollar, particularly in the energy, transportation, and food sectors. Biden's suborning foreign invasion, kneecapping our domestic oil & gas industry, and heavy tax and spend binges in the name of climate change, has only accelerated the devaluing of our currency, negating any gains in the stock and bond markets. Shrinkflation, a rather superfluous term among serious economists, is a Joe Biden artifact, a rational marketplace response to Biden's own inflationary policies that he'd rather not talk about, when he can blame evil producers and retailers - or Trump.

So the food companies are supposed to just absorb the higher production costs, the higher transportation costs, and the higher delivery costs, all caused by your stupid "green" policies?
I am amazed at how stupid they think the voters are.
