Dodge has announced a “last call” for its Charger and Challenger models, as the company is “celebrating the end of an era” and switching to electric vehicles — whether their customers want them or not.
“The Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger, in current form, are coming to an end,” announced Dodge’s parent company Stellantis on Monday.
The company added that it plans to release the look of its final 2023 Charger and Challenger models, which will come with a commemorative “Last Call” underhood plaque.

Great company succumbed to political pressure and correctness. No one wants electric cars. We want manly man muscle cars that run like manly men and hot Rod women want. Horsepower and burnouts, doing donuts in the church parking lot. Street racing with the Street Outlaws. Cruise night on Van Nuys Blvd. This will just make these cars even that much more valuable. Keep the dream alive!!! I give this about 3-4 years before they bring them back. Hemis and Hellcats for life!

Dodge, under government mandate, buckles under. This is not something that the car companies want, it is what they are forced to do by the Feds and their evil regulations.

Loved my Challenger back in the 80's. Had a 69 Camaro before that. Later, had Mustang. Loved the 5 on the floor and the muscle cars.
Bad move by Dodge.

How many car companies are left which have not committed to going all electric? What I do not understand is HOW they plan to do this. The math just doesn't add up...there is not enough resources currently being mined to come anywhere close to making as many electric vehicles as they currently make of ICE vehicles. So, are their stockholders just going to sit idly by as they reduce their car production by more than 50%?

Can someone please tell me how we are going to charge all of these EVs? In addition to removing ICE vehicles from the road, the libtards are removing coal, gas fired, fuel oil, and nuclear powered generating plants from the power grid. Increasing demand while decreasing supply won't work. There are not enough windmills and solar panels to charge the EVs now, much less putting more on the road, in addition to our homes and businesses. The environmentalist wackos are complete morons.

Chrysler and Dodge, whose vehicles became renowned for horrible quality, are owned by Fiat-Chrysler and some French corporation. Good thing the US taxpayers bailed them out! They can go broke for all I care, as long as we don't have to bail them out yet again.

We will look like Cuba, but Cuba had to keep existing American cars running because they couldn't buy new ones, even if they had the money.
The streets of America will be filled with gas powered current (1990-2020)models, 50 years from now. And those old cars will be worth more than their original selling price.

Watch the EV's burn up, houses burn down and neighbors go black from power outages. The only saving grace these vehicles are so expensive nobody very few will be sold.

50-60 years from now EVs will become a viable option. Right now the few that are sold are mostly to virtue-signaling nitwits. The problem is batteries...a thousand pounds or more of a fire vulnerable thing that might take you 250 miles on a charge if you don’t run the AC or headlights. Then you have several hours to put a minimal charge back on. I am sorry. I am an old man and not an engineer but I can see this disaster coming. As I said, once technology creates a battery that weighs a couple of hundred pounds and can be changed in 20 minutes and has a range of 500 miles the EVs will become practical. That’s a few decades away. Then you need massive amounts of power to charges all these things which means nuclear power plants nationwide. We are being governed by fools and traitors.

Re #34. You are an optimist. They said that in 100 years, EVs will be great in 1884 when they first started selling them. And then in the 1970s when I visited the Sebring Vanguard Electric Car factory, they expected to have everything worked out in perhaps 20 years.
And now it is fifty years from the Vanguard joke cars and the equally impractical 1884 Elwell-Parker EV. But, amazingly....Elwell-Parker still makes electric vehicles..... forklifts and automatic guided vehicles - all to operate indoors over VERY short distances, where they can guarantee to be recharged overnight in the same spot every night.
EVs are still impractical and will remain so in the next 50 years, too.

A long time ago in a decade far far away. Not really because it was in the 90s. My friend bought himself a brand new Dodge Challenger and he took myself and my wife for a ride through Oakland and San Francisco. I fell in love with that car and wanted one. However I was blessed with my first child and had to settle for a Caravan minivan also from Dodge. It is sad that a once great company who had two of the best muscle cars on the market is becoming a woke mess. I haven't bought a Dodge in years and will NOT be buying a glorified golf cart dressed up as a automobile, period end of discussion.

They’ll live to regret it. Go woke Go broke. The whole Democratic-fueled EV show is a very flawed concept. They are not affordable, practical, or sustainable for 90 % of the population. They will NEVER be mainstream.
