Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers has become persona non grata to progressives. Which is, truthfully, a remarkably easy feat. He started irritating them around a year ago when he criticized politicians who didn’t obey their own COVID-19 mandates. More recently he deplored the “woke mob” and “cancel culture.”
The woke mob became truly apoplectic when Rodgers wasn’t clear about his vaccination status and then spoke with popular podcaster Joe Rogan, subsequently saying he had availed himself of the same COVID-19 treatment Rogan claimed to have used successfully. You know, the so-called “horse de-wormer.” Which is not a Dr. Fauci-approved “vaccine.”

I hold the opinion that the majority of Democrat base voters do not read at a level that would allow them to understand "Atlas Shrugged."

Ayn Rand's book is quite a bit longer than a Twitter post. I doubt many Dems have read it. To be honest, probably not many people under 60 have read it.

Atlas Shrugged is very smart and forward thinking. I'm surprised he's reading it. Good for him! The heck with the commie pinkos!

Let's start a book club for NFL players. Small group.
Let me know if he likes the Fountainhead, even more relevant.

As a Bears fan for many years, you can imagine how I feel about AR. Yes I know what the NFL has become. Our own rookie QB, Justin Fields, has “end racism” on his helmet. Oh the irony. I’m gonna need some time peeps to process my conflicted thoughts.

Mister Rodgers just went up a couple of notches in my opinion.
Enough people like him, and they could salvage and reclaim what has become the National Felons League.

One problem Drew Brees had with The Woke Wieners is he didn't go along with taking a knee for Our National Anthem.

Read Lord of the Flies. It.is a tale of good vs evil. It is a story about a group of private school boys who were being sent away from England during the war for their protection. They crash land on an island and then instead of working together to survive, they break into two tribes, one evil and one good. Very interesting.

Very impressed that Rodgers is reading Atlas Shrugged. He should send a copy to Looter Senator Elizabeth (Mouch) Warren.

The cancel mob does not have any traction regarding Rodgers at the moment. He is leading one of the best teams in the NFL. Longterm they will find a way to get rid of him. The cancel mob is fueled by hate, and hatred never forgets.

Becoming persona non grata to progressives/Communists is a badge of HONOR. Everyone should be encouraged to read Atlas Shrugged. Feelings run Progressives’ lives. Don’t be those people.

I don't know why any conservative or free thinking American subscribes to Twit. It appears to be a forum for fascists to trash talk, if talk is the word, and insult, anyone with opinions of their own. It's group think for mindless zombies, and I used to never believe in zombies! Every article I read on this forum, which addresses the Tweet, is the same thing, a conservative says something contrary to the accepted liberal mantra, and then a bunch of foul mouthed bottom dwellers insult the conservative, with the Tweets approval, just before the conservative is banned for not toeing the party line.

This morning the discussion topic on one of those sports network panel shows was Aaron Rodgers is the most unpopular player in the NFL. I dunno, maybe with Antonio Brown's ugly exit from the league. Sounds like the agenda is set, cancel AR.

I read Atlas Shrugged in high school and then again many years later. Rand certainly knew what communism was. She was born in Russia and moved to the US. It should be required reading along with Karl Marx, but the left would only allow Marx today. Books on the right will not be tolerated say the 'tolerant' leftys.

Really, no surprise here. Rodgers has always leaned in the libertarian direction; he just mostly kept it under his helmet until lately. He hails from one of the more conservative areas of California. Fortunately, his brief stint at Berkeley didn't discourage that (didn't do it for me either).

If Aaron Rodgers can get through Atlas Shrugged, he is a smart man. It is a long, detailed book that is mirroring what is happening in the USA today. In fact, you can probably fill in the names of every government character and many business characters in the book with a person from the Biden administration (or his nominees) and some woke liberal business people. There are also some fairly sharp business owners who may fit into the John Galt side of the story too as they get more fed up with what is going on today. Either way, most people, NFL players included, ate too lazy, and intellectually incurious to bother a book as long as Atlas Shrugged. Maybe if it were made into a graphic novel, with easy to understand anime pictures, the younger generation would get it and appreciate it.

"It's a thousand pages, give or take a few, I'll be writing more in a week or two...." 1,048 pages in my well worn copy. Small print, too. Reading the book closely was mostly worth it. (My mentor WFB, a Christian [Catholic] wasn't especially a fan of Ms. Rand, an atheist.) Ayn Rand was a visionary, but somewhat prolix. Nevertheless, it's heartening that Aaron Rodgers is interested in the intellectual side of life.. May he prosper.

FYI, the heavy lead guitar in this song is played by Paul, not George. The Beatles had three legitimate lead guitarists. An embarrassment of riches.

Two comments. The libs were upset earlier with Rodgers because he “lied” about being vaccinated. They expressed their hatred of him in our local newspaper. Secondly, Rodgers is engaged to a lefty woke actress. I wonder what she has to say about him reading Atlas Shrugged. Maybe he can convert her.

If Atlas Shrugged is an A bomb to the left, wait till Rogers tells them he read 1984. THAT book absolutely describes the current nightmare.

Read Atlas Shrugged twice. My second favorite book. The Last Convertible by Anton Myrer holds the top spot.
