Greenie energy leaves Europe in the cold

Greenie energy has been vaunted by politicians such as President Obama, Joe Biden, and virtually every European politician in power as progress itself, the way forward, the wave of the future. Anyone who's got problems with it, as Obama smarmily assured, is "stuck in the past."
Turns out that's crap. After going green and shutting down its coal, fossil fuel, fracking, and nuclear energy production, and feeling mighty virtuous for doing it, Europe is now going cold -- freezing cold. The region faces a very bad winter ahead with energy shortages across the board.

Looks like they are in for the same experience I had in Ceausescu’s communist Romania. We had no heat, hot water or gas in our stove. It was warmer inside our refrigerator than it was in our apartment. And, of course, there was nothing to buy in the markets and hundreds of cars were lined up at every gas station. All in a country which had massive oil fields.
Europe, you get what you vote for. Go out and get a down coat while you can - you’ll wind up sleeping in it just like i did.

And Putin is ever more ecstatic that his natural gas will save Europe and make them even more dependent.

Turns out the virtue signals don't heat homes or power cars very well, after all.
Put on a second or third sweater. It'll be fine.

#3 is that you Jimmy Carter. I already wear sweaters in winter just because I like them, not because I can't afford heat.

Note to ALL REAL Europeans...Your countries are IN the Toilet and swirling down fast. YOU caused this by voting for Morons and Communists, but I repeat myself...now all you have to do is VOTE them out and START OVER. Might I suggest you DEPORT 100% of the scum your leaders let in to infest your countries...

I’ll make this short but could tell lots. If a solar company ever shows up to your door waving a contract to install a solar farm on your land with the promise of lots AND lots of dollars to come for you…run, do not walk to a good attorney with that dam contract. Every paragraph in that contract that promises money and conditions for this and that, it then takes all away in the next paragraph with slimy, snakey, weasley words.
Wow. Sometimes attorneys are worth their weight in gold.
Never trust people in climate change, wind farms, solar power farms, etc. they all lie, lie, lie.

Putin has used natural gas to control Ukraine for about 12+ years. I had a conversation with a Canadian oil and gas driller in a restaurant in Kiev about 2008, and learned that Moscow was still able to block him getting the permits needed to drill for oil and gas in Ukraine, even though Ukraine was at that time many years "free" from the USSR, at least theoretically. He was convinced that there was plenty of gas, and at least some oil to be had, if he could be permitted to drill. But, the Ukrainian president, Yanukovich, a Russian puppet, was clearly doing Putin's bidding up until he was thrown out in a bloody revolt in 2014.
Merkel has been a Russian puppet, like Yanukovich, the whole time. Shutting down German nuke plants was a precursor to effectively giving Putin the reigns of power for Germany. Merkel is a German traitor, an old line Communist, a vassal of Russia.
The Euroweenies will freeze and pay through the nose to be cold. Enjoy your choice, fools. There is no MMGW, and CO2 is a harmless trace gas. The whole thing is just a scam to obtain money and power. I wonder if any of them will begin to realize their foolishness? I doubt it.

France won’t be freezing this winter since most of its electricity comes from the numerous nuclear plants spread throughout the country. Around 15 years ago Italy self-righteously decommissioned its few nuclear plants. Soon thereafter Italy had to buy electricity from France. France is far more advanced than the USA in clean nuclear power.

Sure, the Europeans will be freezing cold, have no heat, and probably dependent on Russia if they want any natural gas; but they will feel good about it since they are being Green and saving the planet.

Excellent point, #8. France makes something around 70% of their electricity from nuclear power. I wonder how much of their home heating is via electricity, either direct resistance heating (very expensive and inefficient) or via heat pumps (more efficient, but only good down to ~ 32F/0C without special designs).
It makes far more sense to heat and cook with natural gas, which offer up to 100% heating efficiency, than with electricity.

And, just think of how they must feel with that global warming they thought was coming.
On PJ Media yesterday, by Richard Fernandez:
"in 2019, China's emissions not only eclipsed that of the US - the world's second-largest emitter at 11% of the global total - but also, for the first time, surpassed the emissions of all developed countries combined.. When added together, GHG emissions from all members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), as well as all 27 EU member states, reached 14,057 MMt CO2e in 2019, about 36 MMt CO2e short of China's total."
Just 1 country emitting more then all of Europe and every developed country combined.
They have smart people in China, why aren't they as concerned? Why are Russia and the Middle East allowed to continue pumping oil and natural gasoline, but the United States is being forced to shutter their massive resources?

Stubborn and uppity Europeans will freeze solid before they admit to making a mistake.Mistakes they still deny are global warming panic, unlimited muslim immigration, socialism, universal healthcare, underestimating Americans (before Joe Biden), the European Union. The sad truth is, not one of those countries could survive without American tourism and Americans buying their products.

Excellent advice, #6. I drove by a windmill farm in west-central Pennsylvania a few months ago, built on beautiful prime farmland. Maybe two our of fifty propellers were actually moving. That must be costing somebody big bucks.

There's only one alternative to fossil fuel if we want to supply our current energy needs and be ready to charge the hundreds of millions of electric vehicles envisioned for the not-too-distant future. Europe is shutting down their nuclear plants. We better be smart about this.

I think the term green energy needs to be changed to blue energy, because that's what everyone's lips, fingers, and toes are going to be this winter.
