The Taliban has seized US weapons left in Afghanistan worth billions — possibly including 600,000 assault rifles, some 2,000 armored vehicles, and 40 aircraft, including Black Hawks, according to reports.
The US gave the Afghan military an estimated $28 billion in weaponry between 2002 and 2017 — including seven brand new helicopters delivered to Kabul just a month ago.

Perhaps for the first time, a major media outlet has used the term "assault rifle" correctly. Military M4s are not what is in the average American's gun safe.

My question is "Do the supply of weapons go to Iran to use against Israel, or to Pakistan to fight India?"
With the people in charge of out government, you know they are to be used against our allies if not against the U.S.

They should be, #1. We would be a lot more careful with ours than FedGov was with theirs.

Let them have the choppers. Be fun watching jagoffs try to fly them. On the other hand please ship the ammunition back home. I'll buy it.

Seven helicopters delivered in just the last month. Is there anyway that we could possibly question that this was not a deliberate move?

Even the carefully chosen questioners at Biden's festival of lies today seemed a little bit hostile. He may be the kind of boss who punishes those who bring bad news. The biggest whopper was his claim that our allies still buy into his fantasy.

And all this stuff is brand new...never been used by the Afghan security forces.

Even though this is Biden,
I would also add this to the list of Obama's gun running programs.
You know that he is on the White House speed dial.

Everyone like Afghan rifles, #7. Never been fired, and only dropped once.

Well, when the time comes, either a few strafing runs or some air-to-air missiles will solve the Blackhawk problems pretty easily. The problem with the rifles is that they are extremely durable and reliable, will last for 50 years if given a bit of maintenance. Of course, 'a bit of maintenance' may be well beyond the capabilities of the average 7th century barbarian.

Can they maintain the M4? Yes. Can they maintain the Blackhawk helicopter? Probably not.

Unfortunately, #4, we have been teaching the to fly helos and aircraft. How well they learned is a whole different question. They have had old soviet helos for a long time, but the difference between those and our helos is a bit like the difference between a '55 lumber truck and a 2003 Ford F350. Both trucks but there are a lot of differences. Spare parts WILL be needed and they won't have them, or the ability to repair them.
Even if we don't destroy the helos, they'll be down for maintenance soon enough. All helos are maintenance hogs.

#5, the Taliban will almost certainly sell the brand-new Black Hawks to the Chinese for a tidy profit, the same way the Iraqis (or some other wonderful place where we were meddling) did with the advanced drone Obama gifted them when it "crashed." Give the FedGov credit; this is a lot easier than having to commission and sell "Hunter Biden's artwork" as a way to make money.

The Taliban thanks you , Slo Jo the Gropin' Paedo....this NEVER should have happened...they don't want us to have guns but give them and other military hardware to a bunch of 12th century barbarians. Do they even have the ability to maintain them, or are they going to get help from the Russkies and Chinese?...the more I think about it, I'm beginning to believe that Armageddon will be Christians vs Islam...and you know how that ends...

And Lara Logan among others is suggesting that handover of these weapons was the actual purpose of the chaotic withdrawal. Same as Benghazi turns out to have been something about handing weapons to the Arab Spring. It is not an outlandish allegation - it is exactly what President Buchanan did by filling up Fort Sumter where weapons could be and were grabbed by the South. So in his footsteps, Obama/Biden. Of note - if I had a depot of US weapons, and other than Germany I don't know who that is, I would prepare for some like effort to hand those over under cover of chaos.

If the choppers are at the airport, fuel them up and fly them out of there. Or if not, fold the rotors and load on to C-17s and take them home.

Your tax dollars NOT at work. Don't expect me to pay taxes next year. The feds blew off my contribution by allowing all of this equipment left there.

The Afghani's couldn't even fly the helicopters and aircraft out? You know why. They were never on our side. Most of them are the Taliban, suckering America to give them equipment, and pay their bills.

Yes and the cream of the crop of everything will be shipped right to China for reverse engineering and countermeasure research. Way to go Joe. He knew this would happen. Thanks to Hunter we just got made null and void militarily.

How about someone suggesting a small demo of American military power like a few MOABs kin strategic or tactical places and a half dozen gunships just to make a point.
A B52 or B1 loiter wouldn't hurt.
Can't we fix the mess this idiot made?

Without saying, President Trump's suggestion as to what he would do, sounds like a solution.
