Progressive Democratic Rep. Cori Bush of Missouri is expressing her outrage after the governor pardoned the couple who brandished firearms at Black Lives Matter protesters marching past their St. Louis home during last summer’s riots — calling the move “absolutely unbelievable.”
“It was absolutely unbelievable,” Bush, who was among the marchers, told CNN on Wednesday, a day after Republican Gov. Mike Parson announced that he pardoned Mark and Patricia McCloskey.
Mark had pleaded guilty to misdemeanor fourth-degree assault and Patricia pleaded guilty to misdemeanor harassment. The couple had been initially indicted on felony charges.

Speaking of “absolutely unbelievable". After a mob had caused property damage while breaking into and trespassing on a privately owned property, homeowners successfully dissuaded the mod from further property damage or violence by displaying their ability to defend themselves.... and the homeowners got arrested but not the mod, not a single person who broke down the gates, trespassed, and threatened the homeowners. “absolutely unbelievable"

She (?) actually said some things that could have been interpreted as 'wishing' that violence would come to them. Not that she would be encouraging her BLM/Antifa allies to do anything untoward, of course...

What is "absolutely unbelievable" is that the McCloskeys did not drop at least twenty members of this animal riff-raff horde into the dirt. They had every reason to believe that their lives were in danger. Local Sheriffs in my neck of the woods would have sided with those protecting their homes and lives.

No functioning brain cells in this one either; eliminate lef for public and prevent self defence. She should sit next to the one of equal intelect that thinks too many people can tip the island of guam over.

The fact that Cori Bush was elected to congress provides a clear understanding of the people of her district. If, in fact, requirement of a voter ID keeps some people from voting, that is another reason for voter ID.

Cori Bush is right. It was absolutely unbelievable that this couple was charged and harassed and had their gun taken away for trying to protect themselves and their home from a group of marauding people intent on destruction.
A mob. No one can defend against a mob unless armed, and these people were on their own property.

I think what happened to this couple (hardly the toothless conservative nitwits the press insinuated) showed gun owners who follow all laws and live in a Castle law area what is in store for them. Its a reason that my fellow Texan landowners along that border may be armed but know they best not USE the firearm unless they really really have to! A rancher said this very thing on a radio show from McAllen a week ago.

They never should have been arrested in the first place, so a pardon is the least the governor could do.

#18 must have never visited downtown St. Louis. The usual inner city gang thug crew. In 2017 St. Louis led the nation in homicides, but Chicago has, I believe, taken over the lead recently, with several other Dem run cities working hard to catch up.

The pardon was not Cori’s call, and she is just using the Governor’s pardon decision as a opportunity to “talk Black” to her low information constituents and others who will listen to her.

Don'tcha just the love the term 'walked past their home ? There's a lot of video of the mob standing in their driveway. I would have made them 'dance' back to the street in a hurry.
