NYC butcher Fleisher’s closed after
staff walks out over BLM sign removal

Original Article

Brooklyn-based “rockstar butcher” Fleisher’s has been forced to close its stores because dozens of workers reportedly walked off the job after the CEO removed Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ pride signs that employees had put in the storefront windows. The company’s website says all of its locations, its two stores in New York City and two others in Connecticut, are “temporarily closed.” A notice at Fleisher’s Upper East Side shop said the store won’t reopen until at least the end of August. The beef between workers and management began last month, when Rob Rosania, a leading investor in the butcher, received a text from a pal

Comments:

The first mistake was appeasing the social justice warriors in the first place. Sorry, this is a butcher shop, not a community organizer group. Now the workers are enraged because in Godless america, people need a Cause.

Marxists need to be assigned to identity groups because they are not individuals, and they're certainly not American, a concept that by common agreement is racist and oppressive and must be dismantled. And they can't just do a job in exchange for their pay because work is demeaning. FTA: "Fleisher’s workers told Forbes that Adams had joined the company with the promise of bringing accountability to the workforce of about 40, at least half of whom identify as BIPOC or non-binary or queer."

FTA:Adams tried to relent, putting the BLM and LGBTQ pride signs back up within 24 hours of removing them and even sending photos to employees as proof Trying to appease gets as much goodwill as letting Germany occupy the Sudetenland. There will always be more demands with even higher retribution for not complying. It's better not to give an inch from the get go.

By removing the signs, all employees were treated fairly and equally. By having the signs posted, the store was making a statement that some people are more important than others to us and w support them. Workplaces are not communes. While it is great when everyone gets along and works well together, they still need to remember, they are employees. This is a workplace, not a social justice protest space. Your politics should end when you punch in on the timeclock. If you don't like it, leave (which they did). Like true socialists they are expecting to get unemployment because they were made to feel bad because some signs were taken down. That is not a reason to walk off your job.

Simply solved, Call the Union Hall. Nearly every other business in those places is forced to rely on Union Workers, meatcutters have a long and storied history there, that of course brings in other "Problems" but...doors are opened, product goes out, money gets made, bills get paid.(I have a friend who sells heritage breed Highland cattle, free range, grass fed, 100% organic though Fleishers as well as to restaurants and gourmet clients, he makes Hundreds$$ more per animal than selling to processors, though the price is not much more than "Kroger beef" to the end purchaser) Buy farm direct, pick your own breed, age, degree of fat/finish,cuts, ageing time/process...You'll have to buy a freezer, but...you will NEVER go back to store bought. Whole/Halves/Quarters if you get some friends to buy in with you. A starting out young farmer may let you buy a heifer calf or two to run with his herd, work out a deal on offspring, meat...Win/Win.

Dozens of FBI employees contacted journalists who reported on classified information before the 2016 presidential election, according to a new report by the Justice Department’s inspector general, but the investigative office doesn’t know if the FBI agents leaked the information to them. In a report released Thursday, Inspector General Michael E.
