With 3.6 million Americans at risk of being evicted as soon as Monday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi repeated her call to the Biden administration to immediately renew the now-lapsed eviction moratorium on Monday after House Democrats over the weekend failed to pass legislation via unanimous consent to extend it to Oct. 18. (Snip) As Pelosi says she now awaits a new response from the administration, the White House said last week that it can't unilaterally extend the moratorium because of a Supreme Court ruling in late June when Justice Brett Kavanaugh, writing for the 5-4 majority, said he would block

Momma Pelosi wants Lil Joey, her Underboss, to do the dirty work. The CDC never did have authority to ban evictions.

Dems created the problem, (governor and mayor imposed shut downs) , put people out of work , and expect others to pay for their dictatorial overreach.

How is any of this constitutional? There is no way the government can legally force private landowners to pick up the entire tab for renters. This must be ended, and the government should be required to fully compensate the landowners for the losses (plus interest) that the government has forced them to absorb. This is a huge step toward socialism in which housing becomes yet another guaranteed, subsidized "human right"...paid for not by the government, in this case, but by private landowners!

Abolition of private property is one of the pillars of communism, #3. That, of course, does not apply to the LEADERS of the communist movement. For example, see Bernie Sanders, and his nice dacha on the lake.

People who take the responsibility of buying property as an investment are usually responsible people -- hence most likely Republican voters. Deadbeats who refuse to pay their rent (even though there are tons of available jobs out there right now) are just that -- deadbeats. So they are clearly a dependable Demon-Rat voting block. So, of course, Nasty Nancy and not-my-president Lyin' Joe biden would be looking out for the deadbeats!!!
