Florida suspended the concealed weapons permits Monday of 22 individuals facing charges involving the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Nikki Fried, the commissioner of Florida’s Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, announced the suspensions immediately after a congressional hearing about the attack concluded on Capitol Hill. “The deeply disturbing events that occurred at our nation’s Capitol on January 6th were sedition, treason and domestic terrorism–and those individuals involved in the insurrection must be held accountable for attempting to subvert our democratic process,” said Ms. Fried, a Democrat running for Florida governor in 2022.(Snip)More than 500 people around the U.S. and counting have been charged
This is punishment without due process. Sue this filthy communist into oblivion.

If she thinks this was insurrection and domestic terrorism, how does she view burning the Portland court house? A backyard BBQ?

Any fire arms found on any of those in jail in DC?
So this was a bare hand coup?
This is how they are stripping Americans of their Constitutional Rights.

Same person who wouldn't allow the departments she controls fly the flag at half mast in a memorial to Rush. Just another piece of lefty garbage.

Paging Governor Desantis! Someone needs to rein in these bureaucrats ASAP.
She expects no pushback from the CWP holders since these poor individuals are locked in a gulag in D.C. battling for their freedom against a corrupt regime.
Her campaign should be over before it starts...

Ms. Fried likes to believe she is running the State of Florida, especially in regards to concealed weapons permits. Expect Gov. Ron DeSantis to step in and slap her down again.

Four windows broken and that is "sedition and domestic terrorism"? And leveling whole city blocks by black Marxist rioters is just fine, no problems, no charges, no issues at all.

Believe the penalty for sedition and treason is death.
Is that what she is advocating?
They will all need to have trials for such, and that would open discovery to the thousands of hours of video that may be exculpatory.
It seems many democrats really like being authoritarian, and able to control people's lives after getting a taste of it with the pandemic's emergency powers.
I'm sure authoritarian plays well in South Florida. s/

Did they take their guns with them into the Capitol? I think not. So what's the issue?

Sentenced before being tried...Do they lose the right to vote too? We saw this in Salem, visions people saw in their dreams used to convict and hang "Witches". (can't burn them at the stake anymore...might pollute, cook the planet)

They were involved in a protest. What have they been charged with? Trespassing? These people did not use weapons and most probably did not assault anyone. Their crime is not accepting the election results. Ms. Fried is jumping the gun by suspending the weapons permits.

Leftist Nikki Fried, commissioner of Florida’s Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, seeks to unseat Gov. DeSantis in the next gubernatorial election. But she'll have to beat former governor Charlie Crist, and you know what a tough customer Crist is (sarc off).
I don't know how in the blazes this lefty pol wound up heading that agency, which is the one that issues concealed firearms licenses. To give you an idea how far the leadership of that Florida agency has fallen in the last decade, consider the intellectually fried Ms. Fried ... then consider her predecessor who served from 2002-2011: Charles H. Bronson, whose name appeared on all Florida CCW permits issued during those years. Neat!

A: Department of Agriculture is in charge of gun permits?
B: Merely being charged is not the same as being convicted.
C: Where the hell is DeSantis on this?
D: I sure hope that this unconstitutional action insures the woman never gets elected or appointed to anything ever again.

So what happened to due process? The 2nd amendment?
This hack is trying to boost her campaign with this type of pandering.
She should be removed from office.

Merely being charged is basis enough to strip people of their constitutional rights, after the Capitol Police opened the doors for the peaceful protestors. Can they still vote? And more important, can the people who planned the so-called insurgency still carry weapons, or do these rules not apply to federal agents?
