IKEA Canada has unveiled a series of colorful couches inspired by different Pride flags, including those representing the transgender, nonbinary and asexual communities. Created to mark Pride Month, the 10 "Love Seats" were created by four LGBTQ designers and feature everything from gigantic ruffles to colorful patters and faux flowers. The Swedish retailer said in a press release that it hopes the campaign will honor "the richness and diversity of the 2SLGBTQ+ community," using an expanded acronym that encompasses those identifying as two-spirit, an Indigenous American term for those with both a male and female spirits. The 2SLGBTQ+ community. Now I’m confused. Can’t they just call it the MI Community and make it easy on us traditional people?

..."the richness and diversity of the 2SLGBTQ+ community,"...
...would IKEA care to compare depression/suicide rates between their "rich and diverse" cohort to "normals"?
Or has "normal" been canceled in drive to provide "safe spaces" for the minority of confused/still-trying-to-decide?
The only Swedes I know (yes, they are long-time good friends, I have been to Sweden) are what you might call "normal".
Haven't met the IKEA decision-makers yet.

The first IKEA that I ever saw or heard of was in St. Petersburg, Russia many years ago. I walked through it, looked around and decided that they didn't have anything that I wanted. There has been one here about 6 miles from my home for a dozen years now. Never been inside, never wanted to.
I'll be sure to keep it that way, now.

They look neither pretty nor comfortable. But, then, I guess LGBTQXYZ people are never comfortable. Too busy nursing grievances.

So IKEA is saying LGBTQ people have absolutely no taste when it comes to interior design? Those sofas are hideous.

It’s really hard to believe the depth of the ugliness-stupidness-banality.
Right up there with a beer can pyramid in the window and sea foam green shag carpeting and matching leisure suit.

Triple puke ... one for the furniture, one for the store selling it, and one for the 'news' organization reporting it.
(And amen to O.P., except it passed the "enough is enough" point before the turn of the century.)

I descend from two of the "five civilized tribes,"and there was no term, as described in the article, for those claiming both male and female spirits. Such people existed but they certainly weren't revered as much as tolerated and generally considered clownish. Having strong sons who could hunt and fight was far more important, even though most tribes were matrilineal. One descended from the mother's clan and often the mom's brother gave instruction in manhood. While I don't believe in telling folks how to live or what to believe, I'm not buying today's queer Marxist revisionism.

Since the LGBTQABCPerverts this homosexuality is normal, do they eat dog poop (eating dog poop is normal and natural in some communities)

LGBTQXYZ are so woke or moronic that they overlook the the fact that Ingvar Kamprad, founder of IKEA, was a strong NAZI activist. He was a public member of the Swedish Nazi Party in the 1940's.

The only people who are going to buy this are straight liberals who want to appear hip, with it and woke.... actual gay people probably either laugh at it or find it patronizing.

Wow, woke symbolism aside, those are seriously the ugliest couches I have ever seen.
If you had just showed them to me and asked me what I thought without explaining the homosexual "themes", I would have just said "those are ugly".
There isn't one of them that I would take if you offered it for free.

If one model has a particularly rigid arm, it could be called the "Brokeback Mountain".
A bright orange and red one could be the "Flamer".
A bureau with a crucifix on it could be the "Cross Dresser".
They could make one that looks like an old horse and call it the "Nellie".
Or one with the Sundance Kid's partner and call it the "Butch".
Or make one with three lead semi conductors all over it and call it the "Tranny".

But then flowers have been used for centuries to cover the stench in the atmosphere; like in funerals or gatherings of the rotting unwashed.

So you've got an unhealthy, anti-Darwinian sexual fetish protected by the Constitution? Get over yourself.

I thought the LGBTQ wanted equal treatment and to be treated like everyone else. Why do we now need LGBTQ furniture. What is next? LGBTQ meals in the dining room? LGBTQ sheets and bedding? LGBTQ beds and kitchenware? Don't LGBTQ people use the same stuff as everyone else? Will Ikea be coming out with a Straight Line of furniture? Black Furniture? Asian Furniture? Hispanic furniture? They could go on and on.
