In his book Value(s): Building a Better World for All, Mark Carney, former governor both of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England, claims that western society is morally rotten, and that it has been corrupted by capitalism, which has brought about a “climate emergency” that threatens life on earth. This, he claims, requires rigid controls on personal freedom, industry and corporate funding.
Carney’s views are important because he is UN Special Envoy on Climate Action and Finance. He is also an adviser both to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on the next big climate conference in Glasgow, and to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

I have always wondered about the Dark Ages. How a world can go backwards, lose the progress that it had made? I am seeing it happen now. We are being subjected to the religion of Climate Change and will renounce all progress in order to live under the tenets of our “religion” and the priesthood.

These are just the latest crop of arrogant, "intelligent' yet blindingly stupid, immoral, and extremely dangerous people and ideas to come along to wreck human life in what have been free countries.
Frankly, people like Mr. Carney are extremely dangerous, and the best solution would be for him to be exiled to a desert island, never to be heard from again.
Mr. Carney is evil, and he brings pain and heartache with him. That's the short version of it, and all his ideas should not go beyond his foul, malignant spouting of them. If he choses to live his personal life by following his destructive ideas, fine, but he should never have any power over anyone else.

The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read or write, but those who cannot unlearn the many lies that they have been conditioned to believe, and not seek out the hidden knowledge that they have been conditioned to reject.

The sixties and seventies spawned a bevy of doomsayers who claimed that overpopulation and pollution would end the world sometime in the eighties. Didn't happen then, won't happen now. What this fool doesn't understand is that, even if the earth warms up, the result will be abundance, not scarcity. Life likes warmth. Plants love warmth. Animals love plants. If you think man can turn up the thermostat, then do it!

ever notice it is the wealthy who complain loudest about capitalism? Is this guy going to profit from his book or will he donate his proceeds? I recall the left used to use the - you made it, now you want to prevent others from making it - argument against capitalists.

Obviously the ONLY way to prevent the death of everything is we change to socialism, put him and his cronies at the top of the pyramid eating steak and drinking fine wine on their personal jets on their way to yet another island vacation from their job of ruling the world while we wait in one to beg for more gruel.
Thanks but not thanks. I'd rather see the world die. It won't. He's a liar. But better death than slavery anyway.

So a guy who profited from a capitalist environment blames capitalism for the down fall of western culture. He needs a cranial proctologist to remove his head from his butt.

Beware of people willing to sacrifice everyone and everything around them all the while enriching themselves. That is what will happen in any 'Green Deal'.

Mark Carney. Let me check. Yep. HARVARD. No one who has attended that G. D. Death Palace should EVER have authority over another human being.
