Fraudsters may have plundered as much as half of the unemployment benefits that the US pumped out in a hurry during the pandemic. Blake Hall, CEO of ID.me, a fraud prevention service, told Axios that the US has lost more than $400 billion to crooked claims. The US may have been robbed of as much as half of all money given out through unemployment benefits during the pandemic, Hall told the outlet. Haywood Talcove, the CEO of LexisNexis Risk Solutions, estimated that most of the stolen money, at least 70 percent, probably ended up outside the US, according to Axios. Much of the pilfered funds likely went to criminal syndicates

FTA: "Much of the pilfered funds likely went to criminal syndicates in China, Nigeria, Russia and elsewhere, he said, according to the outlet. 'These groups are definitely backed by the state,' Talcove told Axios. A lot of the money was also likely stolen by US street gangs, who have been taking a greater share of the stolen funds in recent months, Axios reported."

The deep state doesn’t know there are a lot of dishonest people out there. They probably think they’re the only ones.

Given the corrupt and incompetent government that we now have, I am surprised that it's only half.

This is all on the Democrat controlled Congress who passed those hand out laws without including reasonable safeguards to ensure that those government funds were not plundered through fraudulent crimes.

Considering the government was throwing money at everybody I'm not surprised half of the money was basically stolen. My sister never got squat, and no matter how many times she contacted the government, they always told her there were delays in sending out payments to people.

This despite some of us reaching out to our elected representatives to stop sending checks to those who were employed and drawing regular salaries

Why does this not surprise us? Our government is all about the buck, who gets what and when, both sides of the aisle. Kickbacks, rebates, grifting, it's all about the buck. Nothing surprises me anymore.

Hmmm. Lots of us small business owners didn’t get squat for having our businesses shutdown unnecessarily. We got no reprieve from our bills. Our business debt. We know lots of those SBA funds went to fraud or “more or less qualified” businesses.
Now we hear that, not only do our employees not want to come back to work since the government makes it so lucrative to be unemployed, but lots of the unemployment went to fraud and criminal networks.
We need a real insurrection next time.

Notice that everything that Biden has done since assuming the Presidency has cost big bucks. If someone with enough go-power were to look they would find corruption in each one of those acts. Biden is an old line corrupt liberal Democrat lawyer-politician who has had a license to steal all his political life, and to do that successfully, the mantra of such corrupt career politicians has always been to throw as much money as possible at every perceived problem and then gain a corrupt return from around the margins like by promoting family members to get in on the action.

If Democraps were involved, I wouldn't be surprised if 98% of it was stolen...why 98...well someone has to get the short straw at 2%...obviously the ones that needed it the most!

At least, if it stays out of our country it will not contribute to inflation as much as if it all got spent here. As long as the Biden bunch is paying people to stay home instead of working we can expect the unsatisfied demand for goods and services to drive a lot of inflation.

The Marxist junta installed by our patriotic agencies is trying to crash the economy, stealing our personal savings and assets through inflation as they go. And as long as we're vaccinated and can once again consume, we could not be happier.
