Tesla will no longer accept Bitcoin payments,
citing environment

Electric car maker Tesla will stop accepting Bitcoin as a payment, CEO Elon Musk tweeted on Wednesday, citing environmental concerns. "We are concerned about rapid increasing use of fossil fuels for Bitcoin mining and transactions, especially coal, which has the worst emissions of any fuel," Musk said on Twitter. He added that cryptocurrency is a "good idea on many levels" but its promise cannot come at a "great cost to the environment." Tesla, he added, won't be selling any of the Bitcoin it owns.

Bitcoin is a scam, like all the other crypto currencies. Joo hear about the new currency that went from $0 to $45 billion in two days? A bubble made of a mirage in the imagination of a lunatic is all it is. Maybe accepting crypto for hard goods just isn’t a good idea, nothing to do with carbon dioxide.

Perhaps, the notion of trading a depreciating asset, in this case a green weenie mobile, is not a fair trade for an appreciating asset? The notion that scam artist Musk woke up today and realized that crypto mining requires electricity is a fanciful notion. After all, don’t his vehicles run on electricity, or perhaps not all electricity is the same? If there were a better way of destroying your brand Elon, I’m not aware of it. Few people took you seriously before this and now only those who worship at the altar of Al Gore remain.

I thought Bitcoin was all electronic -- living on the web. So the fact that you have to use computers to trade it, which uses electricity, is his "logic"?!?!?!? Wow, I am pretty certain that his over-priced, over-hyped, cars use substantially more fossil fuels to create. It sounds more to me like he realized that the bottom of this Bitcoin scam could drop out at any time, and he would lose billions of dollars!!!

Eventually the leftists get twisted up in their own logic. Whether it's batteries or power through the lines, clean electricity is the big delusion here and a world without CO2 would be a dead world.

Musk is playing games with people's money. First he trashes Dogecoin on SNL and now Bitcoin, causing it to crash. Don't know much about crypto but Steve Bannon is a huge supporter and believes it's the wave of the future. Given his business background, I wouldn't write it off just yet.

Tesla isn't worried about using fossil fuels to mine ore, smelt metals, make glass, produce synthetic fibers, and refine lithium and then use fossil fuels to power their cars while the cars run on synthetic rubber tires, asphalt and concrete. Tesla is a green car, as in green dollars. Global warming is the world's greatest scam and Tesla is using environmentalism as an excuse to quit Bitcoin. They are more likely concerned that Bitcoin is overvalued.

There's also the fact that crypto currencies make cyber attacks more lucrative, since crypto currencies cannot be tracked. Musk made a good move bailing, regardless of the creative reason.

Bitcoin is indeed a very elaborate scam. Like pet rocks or Cabbage Patch Kids...but worth less because there's really nothing there at all. Just an ingenious data storage and distribution concept. A kind of Fantasy Bank online.

I don't understand Bannon's support of Bitcoin. As I understand it globalists see crypto currency as the means of gaining ultimate control over the population by selecting what each person is allowed(and not allowed) to purchase.

I wasn't sure if that was Musk speaking about bitcoin destroying the world or our President Biden. It is a good way to drive down the price so he can buy more, though.

According to Bush, who serves as Texas Land Commissioner, Cheney should have been less focused on former President Donald Trump and more concerned with President Joe Biden and the advancements his administration has made. “So instead of training fire on the President, she really should have been firing on Biden and that agenda…that’s what you want out of your leadership, & unfortunately…she didn’t rise to the challenge,” Bush added. A new study found that while Americans are streaming television now more than ever, one in three of them say they are ready to drop Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime because they find their original programs to be subpar. A survey of 2,000 Americans, conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Tubi, found that 70 percent of Americans say they’re watching more TV now than at the start of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, according to a report by Study Finds. The report added that one in three Americans, however, admitted to watching whatever was trending — not because the content was good, but because there was nothing else to do.

Riddle me this: Why would Republicans fall for the Democrats’ age-old ploy of pressuring them into working on “bipartisan” legislation that will only advance the Democratic agenda and damage the nation? Indeed, what’s the point in the GOP puffing up its chest about ousting Liz Cheney from her House leadership position if they’re just going to turn around and behave like never-Trumpers by caving on President Biden’s agenda? Why would they play footsy with the most militantly leftist party in American history? That can’t possibly be good for America, nor can it be good for their political fortunes, as voters don’t want them to be spineless wimps.

Last year, a website operator for the Florida Department of Health, Rebekah Jones became the liberal media’s new Michael Avenatti when she started claiming she was fired for disobeying orders to manipulate COVID data. And since she was attacking Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, CNN Prime Time host Chris Cuomo eagerly promoted her claims as it provided a distraction from his brother, Governor Andrew Cuomo’s (D-NY) own COVID data manipulation. That was, until he dropped her once she got arrested. Jones was back in the news Thursday after National Review's Charles C. W. Cooke published a brutal takedown of her claims, actually detailing how and why she was fired.

Child care is infrastructure, according to Sen. Elizabeth Warren. Health-care aides for seniors are infrastructure, say Democratic activists. “Anti-racism” is infrastructure, we’re told. But these things aren’t infrastructure; they’re just things Democrats want funded with taxpayer money. You know what’s actually infrastructure? Bridges and pipelines. On that front, we’re not doing so well. The shutdown of the Colonial Pipeline this week demonstrated that our actual infrastructure is vulnerable and that our lives can be disrupted quickly when it fails. The CDC has finally basically admitted that if you’re vaccinated, you don’t need to be wearing a mask. Now this has seemed fairly logical for awhile to anyone who understands science. But apparently not to the Biden team, who kept wearing masks despite everyone being vaccinated. As we reported earlier today, CNN asked White House adviser Andy Slavitt why they kept doing this, seemingly sending mixed signals to the American people? Slavitt’s response? Biden is a “very important man.” Alrighty now. So because he’s so “important,’ he’ll just keep doing something that makes no sense? What kind of sense does that make?

WASHINGTON — In a move to send the country back toward pre-pandemic life, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday eased indoor mask-wearing guidance for fully vaccinated people, allowing them to safely stop wearing masks inside in most places. The new guidance still calls for wearing masks in crowded indoor settings like buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters but will help clear the way for reopening workplaces, schools, and other venues — even removing the need for masks or social distancing for those who are fully vaccinated.

Last month, the faculty senate at Pennsylvania State University passed a resolution urging the school to erase certain words from its lexicon, due to the supposedly problematic legacy of the “typically male-centered world” out of which the terms grew. The resolution aims at gendered pronouns such as “he/him/his” and “she/her/hers,” but it also demonizes the four iconic terms for a person’s years in college (and, often, high school): “freshman,” “sophomore,” “junior,” and “senior.” “The University, as with most all academic institutions world-wide, has grown out of a typically male-centered world.
