California Fleeing: Democrats delude

The 2020 Census results are a complete embarrassment to California's ruling Democrats. (snip) California's population declined by more than 182,000 people last year, marking the first time in the state's history that it has experienced a year-over-year loss. (snip) I just went to a farewell party last night in Lake Elsinore, California — a very multi-racial one, where nearly all of the attendees were black and Mexican. (snip) My friend, her husband, and their kids were pulling up stakes for South Carolina. They weren't the only ones planning on going

Let's be cautious about gloating, since some are heading to Texas, hoping to turn the red state blue.

I hope not #1. If they arrive and expect government to do everything for them, then they might start voting blue, but if they arrive and realize the amount of freedom they now have by moving, and the amount of money they have saved by moving, then maybe not.

If the democrats ever do undo Prop. 13 it would really be a problem for the average person living there. Prop. 13 held property taxes at 1% of the purchase price of your home, and only allows for a maximum of 2% increase each year. So, it helps provide long-term certainty on this expense, and helps homeowners remain in their home.

No, doggone it, virtually every Californian I know who has left the state (and I know many, many!) is conservative! We have been driven out and are political refugees, seeking safe havens to raise our families. Do the Cubans fleeing Cuba’s oppressive regime vote liberal? Do the escaping Venezuelans? How about those who have lived under Communist rule in Eastern Europe, who made their way here? No - they all understood what they were leaving and have no desire to replicate their suffocating governments! You have no idea how difficult it is to be conservative in the SF Bay Area - be found out and you risk losing your job, social banishment, damage to your property and actual physical harm. As my granddaughter said, “If ANY of my friends at school knew I supported Donald Trump I would be physically hurt.” So many of those Californians moving are smart enough to not acknowledge the real reason for their move: conservatives are not wanted in the state.

I say there is no vote more decisive than a vote with one's feet. I've done it, and it was liberating. California lacks personal freedom. Living there, I got some idea of what it was like to live in East Germany.

It was said during our Mideast military adventures, and has been considered a truism of war, that you can’t really win a conflict without “boots on the ground.” For it’s difficult to completely subdue a people from afar. It may not be too different with battles for civilization. (snip) If you heard about a Third World country in which the leadership was purging the military of political opponents, would you assume it was just an exercise in ideological nepotism? (snip) So you need a purge. You do this by conjuring up a boogeyman — in our case “white supremacy”

Welcome back, Carter. Anyone want to party like it’s 1979? Okay, at least in 1979 we weren’t locked down, masked up, and socially distanced. But, other than that, there wasn’t much to celebrate. The economy was in the tank, inflation was rampant, gas lines were long, daubers were down, and no one in the White House knew what to do about any of it. A new term had to be coined for something thought impossible/oxymoronic…”stagflation.” Yes, even as the economy was slowing down, inflation was rampant, an unprecedented pairing of economic indicators.

White leftist politicians and hipsters have already killed wokeness in American culture. They just don’t know it yet. There’s been this repeating cultural joke occurring throughout my lifetime that, for some reason, never seems to be recognized by those who are ridiculed by its many iterations. That is, when liberal white hipsters adopt any cultural fad, they manage to end the fad by making it spectacularly unpopular in no time flat. A terrific modern example of this might be liberal white hipsters co-opting fashion and social trends that were prominent in gay culture in the early aughts.

“More than any other single living American, Tony Fauci is responsible for the Covid-19 pandemic.” With these bold words, the most popular commentator on cable news threw down the gauntlet on a man all but sainted by the corporate media. Drawing on the work of Nicholas Wade, who for decades edited the Science section of the New York Times, Tucker pointed out that Dr. Anthony Fauci (the highest-paid employee of the federal government) personally overrode a federal ban on gain of function research that makes pathogens more deadly and more transmissible, and funded such research at a facility linked to the Chinese military.

For those conservatives already put off by Disney’s using its forum with children to indoctrinate them into alternative sexualities, the company had a further fall from grace this past weekend, Christopher Rufo, who is now the godfather of the fight against the racist Critical Race Theory used internal documents from the Disney Corporation to reveal that it has gone all-in on this theory, a cross between Marxism and the vilest eugenics Democrats produced in the early 20th century – only this time, the target is Whites, not Blacks. It turns out Disney had the capacity to fall still further because its response was to deny what the documents clearly said.

There is nothing that makes a happier Mother's Day for this mother than enjoying an ad that attacks leftists right in their smuggest spot, which is their disdain for Southern states and Southern education. In Minneapolis, an organization called TakeCharge Minnesota placed an ad in the local paper exposing just how bad their schools are compared to those in the South. One of the constants about leftists is the sneering disdain they have for Southerners — and the deeper south one goes, the greater the leftists' disdain.
