Former St. Louis Treasurer Tishaura Jones defeated fellow Democrat Cara Spencer to win the St. Louis Mayoral race.Tishaura Jones is a radical leftist who is very critical of St. Louis City policing.Jones ran on: Jones said that she supported restructuring the police department’s budget to reallocate funding for mental health services, job training programs, and treating substance abuse. Jones said that she would reinstate the position of deputy mayor for racial equity and require the city to view decision-making and expanded economic opportunities through the lens of racial equity.

I've been to St. Louis often and I love it - baseball, food, the zoo, the museums and the history. I suspect it will all go to pot now.

I remember St. Louis as the city of Stan Musial, Red Schoendienst, and Marty Marion. It was us Brooklynites who gave Musial the nickname, "The Man" - - yes, Stan The Man - - would he recognize St. Louis today?

I suspect I am not alone among my fellow Missourians who wouldn't mind it a bit if St. Louis were ceded to the utopian paradise of Illinois. Then Kansas could take all of KC. If this were to happen Missouri's crime rate would plummet along with a lot of other forms of societal disfunction. It's debatable how much of an economic hit there would be but I think it would be worth it.

an uneducated electorate will get the government it voted into office. another example of herd thought in this woman winning this election. white people had better give it a second thought about moving out of St. Louis.

St. Louis was a racist dump 25 years ago unless you kept strictly within the borders of the "safe" parts. It is almost a twin city to Atlanta. I would imagine the "safe" parts are shrinking by the day. This situation will reach its inevitable violent end just like Seattle, Portland, Chicago, Baltimore, DC and other black radical female-run cities have done.

One thing I have noticed over the years is that in many parts of the country black people vote for black politicians, not because they are better but because they are black and that shows the racism of many black people. Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee are a couple of incompetent boobs that come to mind. Barack Obama was idolized by the black community because he was black and in my opinion the worst president in my lifetime at least until Joe Biden the senile stole the latest election. They always say that only white people are racist but that is not true and never has been.

Rush Limbaugh, currently at room temperature, six feet below the ground in St. Louis, would make a better mayor today. All the great cities have been turned to slop by Democrat liberal mayors, regardless of race.

I'm seriously trying to understand the mentality of Democrats, regardless of color, who vote for these incompetent, criminal-coddling politicians. What exactly motivates them to knowingly put someone in charge who will make life more dangerous, raise taxes and prices of everything, increase hostility between all groups, destroy the economic well-being of the area, accept the decay of neighborhoods, etc., etc.? I mean really, WHAT makes someone, anyone, consciously say, "Yeah, I want that?"

Like so many other unqualified civil executives the Commiecrats decide who they will run and who will have the most counted votes. In most big cities they will pick the least offensive blacks: women because they appeal to women, and black because...well. because.
Lightfoot is a good example, and Tishaura is just the latest to be blessed by the Democrats.

St. Louis already had a very high crime rate. Increasing from that high baseline will be quite a bloodbath.
We sometimes stop in St. Louis in sketchy neighborhoods to get gas, and I frequently stand back from the car a distance and have my wife fuel the car while I provide a security overwatch without being distracted. I really don't like the St. Louis area at all, too much like the south side of Chicago or Atlanta.

I wonder if these black communist politicians realize that their push for "RACIAL SUPREMICY" of the blacks actually fosters hate between the races, and ultimately one or the other will be fed up and start fighting. I for one recently purchased the first firearm I've owned since 1972. I actually feel it is necessary to protect my family.
