The Nelson County Republican Party wrote Senator Mitch McConnell on Tuesday demanding he immediately resign from his leadership position with the Republican Party’s caucus in the United States Senate.
This comes after McConnell’s comments on Saturday and an explosive editorial in the Wall Street Journal viciously attacking and smearing President Donald Trump
Nelson County Chairman Don Thrasher pointed out McConnell’s “complete and total disdain for the will of your constituents” for the reason for the letter.

Mitch "Benedict Arnold" McConnell barely won his last election. And that only happened because President Trump campaigned hard for him at the end!!!
So Mitch "Benedict Arnold" McConnell "thanked him" by stabbing President Trump in the back repeatedly!!!
Mitch "Benedict Arnold" McConnell is going down in the next election, if he even lasts that long!!! It's time for the Republicans to "grow a pair" -- though I won't hold my breath waiting!!!

Republican Senators should vote McConnell out of the leadership position now. We should not have to wait for him to resign. McConnell will never resign.

Ol' Mitch will hang in there, a pair of middle fingers shown to the voters. He's too old to run again and just got re-elected. I'm sure is view is going to be "go to hell".
Mitch works for the ChiComs.

Such a cute little phrase, "step down". Its sounds so nice and calm and civilized. What he really needs to do is be chased out of town while covered in tar and feathers.

Could it be that Kentucky is finally waking up? They really do need to wean themselves off their cocaine habit. He was never for them anyway.

There is no way McConnell steps down from his leadership role. He would resign his seat before he does that and we know that is not going to happen. China may need to call in a favor or two. We are stuck with the traitor, but there is nothing that says we can’t make his life miserable. So come on Kentucky, get some of your other counties to demand he step down or censure him. Some bright hungry journalist who wants to make a name for him/herself could investigate his ties to China. I am sure that would cause him some sleepless nights.

Where are the rest of the Republican Senators. Surely one of them would like to be leader. Surely they can take away his position as leader. They are hurting themselves and the party by not doing it.

Surprise. Suprise. Imagine that. None of this is featured or even mentioned on our local TV. I'm going to listen closer from now on. Louisville, Frankfort and Lexington are the three largest cities and are all very liberal. Most of the residents just hate Mitch, but he still has a lot of power.

Seriously, if your were a soulless sociopath, would you step down from Six Years of smooth sailing on the ship called “Gravy Train”? $32M is just a start, there’s ChiCom kickbacks to be garnered, Federal money to be laundered, and insider theft to be gained.
Mitch is the poster boy for the Deep State. Are there not any brave Republicans out there?

Mitch doesn't care what Kentucky Republicans want he doesn't represent them! He represents the Uniparty, the corrupt Chamber of Commerce, the GOPe, big tech, big PACs and more importantly himself and his Chinese wife and their business interests with the ChiComs! That's why he was so welcoming to ChiCom Joe, he knew the tariffs and the repatriating of jobs from China to America started by President Trump would end! He's every bit as loathsome as Pelosi!

Nobody can tell me that the same state that elected Rand Paul also elected Mitch McConnell and Andy Beshear. Something was bad the matter with the election and the primary. Now those counties need to look into that. And BTW, where's the Republican legislature on all this? Can we have a censure at least?

Remember the Democrat Socialist oligarchs contributed almost $100 million to the fascist candidate to defeat Mitch and the same for Lindsay. He won on President Trump's enthusiasm for the United States people because let's face it, Mitch obviously is not a motivator.

Just like the late Sen. Bill Cassidy (Rino-La.) he couldn't be elected dog catcher. Unfortunately, they were both just re-elected. BTW, Cassidy is from ILLINOIS...and was a Dem. until 2001. No offense to our Ill. friends, but a deadly combination here in La.

mitch knows he has 6 years so, he can give us all the finger from now until 2027 and he will, without a doubt but, maybe not, because he is the human embodiment of cowardice. time for these spineless "colleagues" to either vote him out or kick him out as minority leader. he likes that job because he doesn't have to do anything, which is nothing new for him as he hasn't done anything for at least 4, 8, 12, 16 years. if he becomes irrelevant, the Chicoms will "disappear" his cowardly *^&

Remember the Georgia Senate runoff election in January where the Democrats picked up the two Senate seats that were at stake. Here we are in the middle of the Chinese COVID pandemic that has brought unbelievable financial and personal grief to millions of Americans, including those in Georgia, who have lost their jobs and their ability to pay their routine bills. To ameliorate that situation the Congressional Democrats proposed to send $2,000.00 stimulus checks to most Americans as part of a not yet passed COVID stimulus bill. When that was going on, up pops McConnell, as the Republican Leader in Congress, who is known to be a multimillionaire with close family ties to China telling the American people that he will only go along with a $600.00 stimulus payout to them. Now if you were a voter in Georgia who was hurting financially because of COVID, who would you vote for, a Democrat who offers you $2000.00 or a Republican who offers you $600.00?
Well if nothing else you should be able to see why the Republicans are called the “Stupid” Party. If you have been paying attention to McConnell’s actions since that election, it is clear to see that he is happy to see the Democrats running the Senate, so that he can again assume the position of an obscure Republican Minority Leader in the Senate with no responsibility other than to talk and complain about all the leftist legislative agenda items that the Majority Democrats will now try to pass, as McConnell knows that he will still continue to pull in his share of the UniParty spoils. By the way, Trump understood all that and always supported the $2000.00 stimulus payments to Americans.

Turtle sure found a way to make himself the pubbie's poster child. Others here have commented that he couldn't really give a flip what the electorate thinks of him at this stage. He got his wish to be re-elected and then to go on as minority leader and let Chuckie and the dims do the heavy lifting now. And, yes, at age 79, he is on cruise control enjoying his last term, anyway. How many times have we heard the old adage, "elections have consequences". His only use to us back in November was to re-elect him with the expectation that this would help the pubbies keep Senate control. Look where that got us.

Now that WE the people have seen the DC swamp in action...WE know what must be done...the turtle is done... being a leader means working for the people... the turtle is only concerned with HIS place in the scheme of things... and he has proven what he's all about...this fraudulent election served it's purpose... it woke up Americans to the real truth....but... as President Trump says in his inspiring books...step back and examine what has happened and then move forward to correct the problem...

I predict that Mitch will resign out of the humiliation of having made some really stupid mistakes. People like him crave not only power but respect and he now has neither.

Oh please, gimme a break. Sticks & Stones and all that.
Does anyone really think that Mitch ... who turns 78 TODAY ... really gives a hump what anyone thinks now that he's been re-elected with Trump's help? He's got six (count 'em ... 6) more years to go before he may decide to call it quits. At 84! He'll still have 2 years left on his sixth (!) term should Trump run in 2024!
Unless there is a voter recall process in Kentucky like there is in California, Mitch will just thumb his nose at all of us.

Too late for that. He will serve out his term and ignore his constituents. It was never about them anyway. He manipulated Trump into supporting him then stabbed him in the back. He and Schumer can go back to being best friends. Does it really matter which one of them leads the Senate?
