A large group of Iranian military fast attack boats on Monday harassed six United States Navy ships escorting a guided missile submarine into the Strait of Hormuz, the Pentagon said.
“Earlier today a large group of Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, also known as the IRGCN, fast boats conducted unsafe and unprofessional maneuvers and failed to exercise due regard for the safety of U.S. forces as required under international law while operating in close proximity to U.S. Naval vessels that were transiting the Strait of Hormuz,” Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said.
He said the Navy ships that were escorting the USS Georgia were exercising the right of transit passage

It was said during our Mideast military adventures, and has been considered a truism of war, that you can’t really win a conflict without “boots on the ground.” For it’s difficult to completely subdue a people from afar. It may not be too different with battles for civilization. (snip) If you heard about a Third World country in which the leadership was purging the military of political opponents, would you assume it was just an exercise in ideological nepotism? (snip) So you need a purge. You do this by conjuring up a boogeyman — in our case “white supremacy”

House Republicans planted themselves firmly in the camp of Donald Trump on Wednesday when they removed Rep. Liz Cheney from their leadership team after her criticism of the former president.
In a closed-door meeting in the basement of the Capitol, Republicans voted to oust Cheney after she repeatedly called out Trump's false claims he won the election and criticized his role in the January 6 insurrection.
After a voice vote, Cheney said: ‘I will do everything I can to ensure that the former president never again, is anywhere near the Oval Office.’ Cheney had addressed Republicans in the room before the vote.

You have to love liberal media. President Donald Trump is no longer in office, but he’s still living rent free in their heads. They’re still completely obsessed with him and basically can’t live without him. They always need him as a focal point.
The New York Times ran this “gotcha” story today, as though it were something truly significant, “Over 100 Republicans, including former officials, threaten to split from G.O.P.”
What is the issue, the New York Times says? The fact that the GOP still is supportive of Trump.
“This is a first step,” said Miles Taylor,

There can be no denying that the political left are an intolerant and authoritarian bunch. The Democratic party that represents it wants to cancel the rights of anyone who disagrees with them.Showing that fascism is all in the family, Chelsea Clinton has joined the calls for social media censorship. After all, it’s been a standard feature of her mother’s bitter Twitter diatribes since she was rejected by voters in the 2016 election.
The heir to the Clinton political dynasty joined the team effort to save Joe Biden from an early humiliation by steamrolling any opposition to his stated goal of vaccinating 70 percent of the U.S. by July 4th.

As Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) works for preserve her position within House GOP leadership, unlikely allies have rushed to her defense, including convicted felon O.J. Simpson. In a video posted to Twitter on Monday Simpson, who was famously acquitted of the murders of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman in the mid-1990s before being convicted of armed robbery in the 2000s, said that Liz Cheney has earned his respect because she “stands up for truth.”“I gotta admit, I was not a fan of Liz Cheney,” he said. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m 50-50 on her politics, but I didn’t like her.

The head of the Vatican’s doctrine office is warning U.S. bishops to deliberate carefully and minimize divisions before proceeding with a possible plan to rebuke Roman Catholic politicians such as President Joe Biden for receiving Communion even though they support abortion rights.
The strong words of caution came in a letter from Cardinal Luis Ladaria, prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, addressed to Archbishop José Gomez of Los Angeles, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. The USCCB will convene for a national meeting June 16, with plans to vote on drafting a document on the Communion issue.

Another all-American brand, Anheuser-Busch, has jumped on the woke train. The maker of Budweiser, among other brands with a robust craft beer collaboration line, has partnered with radical professors in education and humanities at Arizona State University (ASU) to develop and implement a 15-module training program called “To Be Welcoming.” It is based on critical race and gender theory. According to a whistleblower who spoke with PJ Media, an e-mail from “Chief People Officer” Lindsay King announced the program on March 24, 2021.
In the letter, King uses typical language about an inclusive workplace and how diversity brings better ideas. This new curriculum follows “Psychological Safety” training

A 15-year-old girl in Washington DC has pleaded guilty to the murder of an Uber Eats delivery driver, whose car she stole and crashed, killing him as he fought. The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to the March 23 murder on May 5, a court spokesman told The Washington Post on Tuesday. In return for pleading guilty to murder, other charges—armed carjacking, robbery and aggravated reckless driving—were dropped. She will be sentenced on June 4 and, as part of the deal, will serve a maximum of six years, until she is 21.(Snip) The pair attacked a Pakistani

The criminal hacking group that reportedly goes by the name DarkSide and attacked the largest gasoline pipeline in the United States has now put out an apology of sorts.
The Colonial pipeline, which snakes 5,500 miles along the eastern U.S., transports 2.5 million barrels of gasoline a day, and provides 45 percent of the region’s fuel consumption, was shut down on Friday in response to the hacking.
Vice reported on the hackers’ odd statement posted on the “dark web”:
“We are apolitical, we do not participate in geopolitics, do not need to tie us with a defined government and look for other our motives,” the statement from the DarkSide ransomware group reads.

The White House repeatedly reassured Americans on Monday there was no gas shortage in the United States after the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack before acknowledging supply problems hours later.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki brought Homeland Security advisor Dr. Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall and Deputy National Security Advisor for Cyber and Emerging Technologies Anne Neuberger to reassure Americans the Biden administration was on top of the crisis, urging Americans to remain calm.
“Right now, there is not a supply shortage,” Sherwood-Randall told reporters at the daily press briefing.
