As reported by my RedState colleague streiff, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, Iran’s top nuclear scientist, was ambushed and killed on Friday. The assassination of Fakhrizadeh, accused of leading the Islamic republic’s nuclear weapons program, sent shockwaves through Iran and elsewhere around the world, including in the U.S. — which we’ll get to in a bit. As reported on Sunday by the New York Post, who drew from multiple sources, a highly trained hit squad of 62 people attacked Fakhrizadeh’s 3-car caravan after the local power supply was cut in an effort to slow the spread of information about the ambush.

A closed country like Iran, and some foreign group got 62 people in and out of Iran safely. Don't think so.
I will wait for the book.

I agree with #3.
62 people? they would be tripping over each other, and increasing the chances of getting caught by orders of magnitude.. I might believe a 7 man team. Or even a 6 man, one woman team.

Should we be told this much? I'd rather leave more mystery for the enemy to fear the unknown.

Sources told leading Iranian journalist Mohamad Ahwaze that the team included 50 people providing “logistical support” for the 12 assassins who carried out the ambush.
The hit team was 12 the other 50 set it up like logistics & Intel.
So it was the 12 that did it & got in & out.

FTA: None of the hit squad were wounded or arrested during the gunbattle with the Iranian’s bodyguards, Ahwaze said.
His bodyguards better be dead also, or they will wish they were.
Wouldn't it be great if this was a cover for a defection? No witnesses left behind? Double body dump?

Anyone who's ever been associated with this kind of "wet work" knows that there is a large part of the story that has yet to be told. Can't wait for the movie. The title should be "Appointment in Tehran."

Red State is being cyber attacked, in case you're attempting to look at some of the site's other articles. Leftists at work again, trying to shut down any opposing voices.

Yeah, another example as to why you don't get cross-wise with the IDF. Nevertheless, Bibi, please protect yourself, sir.

Israel had a firm timeline with guarantees they would NOT get US support from Joe Biden.
“the country’s prominent and distinguished nuclear and defensive scientist,” Nuclear and defensive is an oxymoron. The important thing is that the guy is dead.

If there was US involvement it would have been the satellite imagery folks and drone operators. The last time we put boots on the ground in Iran was the Carter fiasco and we would not risk a repeat of that.

The first thing the Iranians should do is contact the people who sold them the 'bullet proof' cars. Apparently they didn't help and the doors didn't lock too well because Farkrikizzie was dragged from the safety of the vehicle and received the coup de gras on the ground. Pretty slick job for all involved to escape unscathed. We know Farkrikizzie won't be spinning any centrifuges again for peaceful nuclear power plants for sure.

# 3 and 4 should read the story about Ross Perot getting his EDS employee out of Tehran during the first Camel Humping Iranian 'students' attack on our country . It's a compelling read.
