A new survey by independent polling firm Morning Consult shows Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell with a commanding lead in his bid for a seventh term in Kentucky, leading 53% to 36% over his Democratic challenger Amy McGrath. About 700 likely voters in Kentucky were surveyed online from July 24 to Aug. 2 by Morning Consult, whose results have a margin of error of +/- 3.5%. The race between McConnell and McGrath is expected to be one of the most expensive U.S. Senate races in the country this year, as both campaigns had over $16 million in cash on hand at

I would say Ditch Mitch but who's worse? A left-wing progressive deep state rino or a progressive deep state democrat?

McConnell is deep state swamp but he's fair in his dealings and has President Trump's back. He's done his duty on judges and knotting up the disloyal opposition.
He leaves when he's ready.
He's alot younger than I thought. 78. LOL.

Cocaine Mitch has broken my heart several times, but Amy McGrath is not to be imagined.

I grieve for the voters of Kentucky. Bamboolzed by a Democrat "play moderate" on election day, go far left the next day last year for Governor.
Now they have the choice between Turtle McConnell and a rabid leftist. Cripes, it's between the devil you know (Mitch) or the She Devil you know (Mc Grath). I'll stick with Mitch, but I'd have to hold my nose in the voting booth.

He should have been primaried. I would probably leave the US Senate box blank on election day and let the chips fall where they may. Barnacles like Mitch hang on because we support them.

Good. As for Colorado, I hope that Cory Gardner can salvage a win against a very corrupt and former governor John Hickenlooper. But, if Gardner wants any support from Trump, Gardner had better crawl to the Oval Office on his hands and knees and plead for forgiveness for hanging the President out to dry when the dims launched their Spygate coverup and Gardner's early support for Obiecare.

If a guy who votes in line with Pres. Trump's agenda 94% of the time isn't good enough, you might as well give up.
Even Lisa Murkowski and Mike Lee side with Trump more often than Kentucky's other senator, Rand Paul, who does so only 69% of the time. 69 used to be the cutoff for a failing grade in Kentucky.

We must stop demanding perfect candidates and be grateful for those who have largely stood tall over the last three years. Without Mitch we'd not have approved 200 quality federal judges. Give Trump an intact Congress to continue the job he started.

Thank you, #'s 2 & 8. # 5, primaried by whom?
We are in the fight of lives to keep control of the senate. Straight "R' all the way.

If Republicans retain control of senate, I hope one of the young Turks like Josh Hawlley will challenge McConnell for the leadership... also Blount and Thune are useless grifters who need to be challenged for the # 2 and 3 leadership roles.

The Senate is a very tight club, # 10 and few (if any) are willing to stick their necks out with no guaranteed return. That is not going to change.

I can live with Mitch in the Senate and a Rebublican majority knowing Ruthie is dying and there are still many openings in the Judiciary. Flip the courts and flip the Dems only leverage.

mitch has done his job, and most important, moved all of those judicial nominees into their seats on the bench.
have we forgotten about how bad a republican leader can be? How about that heart surgeon who held the position??

I doubt there is much difference. Both probably hate Trump and are more interested in personal power than in the country.
I'm probably going to vote against my state rino senator. No support for the president and just gives generic platitudes. Not much difference between that and a democrat.
