A University of North Carolina Wilmington professor who was set to retire in August after a history of posting controversial social media comments has been found dead in his home, according to reports.
Mike Adams, 55, a tenured criminology professor, was found dead alone in his home when deputies with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare check about 2 p.m. Thursday, police spokesman Lt. Jerry Brewer told CNN.
This is a terrible loss, and they are already smearing him now that he is not here to defend himself.

The tenor of the article is "Sad but..."
fta - Meanwhile, UNCW Professor L.J. Randolph (a black man) wrote: “Please do mourn Mike Adams’s death, but don’t sugarcoat his rhetoric as merely ‘controversial’ or ‘racially charged.’
“He was blatantly racist, homophobic, and sexist, and his own words left no room for interpretation on any of that,” he added...
I have no reason not to be suspicious.

He was always a must read for me. Way to young and I fervently hope it was a natural cause, not anything suspicious. We are losing way too many of our brave men and women who dare to speak out against the rising tide of socialism that will enslave all of us if not stopped.

I didn't always agree with his writings but he always expressed himself in an entertaining way. RIP, sir.

It was tragic to hear the initial story but horrific when I learned it was Mike Adams. My presumption is that he was 'Arkancided'.

I am shocked by this news. My first reaction was that it can be. How very sad. I have never met him or attended any of his classes or speeches but I feel a loss like it was someone I did know. I really enjoyed what he was about. So many exploding heads because of Mike Adams, PhD. CAP used to post his work on this site which is where I was introduced to him. He was absolutely right on the mark and he did it with such a sense of fairness and humor and without any anger.

RIP, sir, and prayers & condolences to your loved ones.
If this is as foul as the timing suggests, may justice be swiftly served.

A man who speaks his mind no matter how much he is vilified is a rare man these days.

I hope Prof. Adams has found peace and rest. A question: Are words like 'spewing.' 'misogynistic,' 'xenophobic,' 'transphobic,' 'homophobic,' 'racist,' and 'rhetoric' secret code for 'Judeo Christian,' 'moral,' 'ethical,' 'ideal' and 'virtue;?

Ugh. This is unsurprising, I fear. I quit reading Mike’s columns years ago, because it didn’t seem worth wallowing through the angry, hateful dreck to find the occasional pearl. (There are so many superb conservative columnists, I could afford to be selective. Life seems too short to waste it on bilious sarcasm.) All the same, curiouser and curiouser.
So, did he collect his hush money first?

I liked Adams. He had a way of poking fun at all the sacred cows the Left raise on their political ranches and observing and labeling their plantations laser-like accuracy.
How much you wanna bet UNC Wilmington tries to weasel out of paying his settlement to his estate? If they do, take a real good look, with a team of pathologists separate from the local team. It does seem awfully convenient.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mike Adams and am so saddened by this. He fought the good fight for many years in universities and colleges throughout the country and he helped and inspired countless conservative students and professors. He will be missed.

#10, I''m with you. Although I almost always agreed with Mike, I also almost always cringed when he went over the top and ended up burying his own lede in his own bile.

He doesn't recognize his own bigotry. Of course there's room for interpretation of all of it -- but it wouldn't serve the approved narrative. Adams was none of those things.

Tragic. He was NOT misogynistic or racist or any of the things he was accused of! He just knew EXACTLY how to poke the liberal bear. In it's heyday, Townhall.com had a Monday lineup of Mike Adams, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Derek Hunter, etc. that were MUST READS every week. While the latter three (and others) were awesome, Mike Adams added incredible humor to his columns while destroying all liberal sensitivities. I pray for his soul and hope it was natural causes and he went painlessly. Lord knows the 'faculty' at UNCW made his life there Hell.
