Nevada’s governor has signed an emergency order barring the use of anti-malaria drugs for someone who has the coronavirus.
Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak’s order Tuesday restricting chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine comes after President Donald Trump touted the medication as a treatment for the virus. (snip) Sisolak said in a statement that there’s no consensus among experts or Nevada doctors that the drugs can treat people with COVID-19. His order also limits a prescription to a 30-day supply so that people cannot find a way to stockpile the drug and ensure it’s available for “legitimate medical purposes.”

Sisolak, being smarter than every medical doctor in the state, ensures that they will do nothing to try to save the lives of their patients, even if these drugs are proved effective in other jurisdictions.

So gambling, legal prostitution, and marijuana are just ducky but a possible life saving treatment for a fatal and otherwise incurable disease is not, presumably because Mr Trump has recommended it? Sick petty little tyrant.

Despicable. Also lacking the legal authority to do this. Man these Democrat governors are really jumping out there finally living their dreams of being a tyrant.
Also (surprise,!) AP and US News are misrepresenting what President Trump said about these drugs. He said they look promising. The article makes it sound like he flat out said they are cures. Not true. Vile enemedia.

I wouldn't use the word, "tout" to describe President Trump's reference to these malaria drugs. He, like mot of us, are looking and hoping for medicines that will help and heal the patients and restore the economy and thus the social organization which is undergoing more fracturing.
He said he felt good about it, "But, we'll see."
It would be nice if these Trump haters would try to think about their fellow citizens first. Alas, their hatred blinds them. This kind of hatred is the stuff which fuels wars.
Pray ardently

Donald the Great is almost always right. He has the feeling that hydroxy-Chloroquine will stop deaths from the Chinese virus. Go with him on this one, HCQ is a very safe and cheap drug that has already been shown to be effective by France and South Korea. Before you die of TDS go to a neighboring state and get cured. Fauci is wrong, this is war and ours are field hospitals, not for pansy doubting doctors.

The only people who will be getting this experimental drug combination are the most seriously ill!!!!
They have nothing to lose by trying this combination, and everything to gain!!!! Many of them are dead if they don't do something!!! People who get mild cases of the Coronavirus are not going to get these drugs.
But the Demon-Rat overlords always know what is best for those stupid peasants they rule over!!!

Successful therapy against Covid-19 virus from New York State:
Dr. Vladimir (Zev) Zelenko
Board Certified Family Practitioner
501 Rt 208, Monroe, NY 10950
845-238-0000
March 23, 2020
To all medical professionals around the world:
My name is Dr. Zev Zelenko and I practice medicine in Monroe, NY. For the last 16 years, I have cared for approximately 75% of the adult population of Kiryas Joel, which is a very close knit community of approximately 35,000 people in which the infection spread rapidly and unchecked prior to the imposition of social distancing.
As of today my team has tested approximately 200 people from this community for Covid-19, and 65% of the results have been positive. If extrapolated to the entire community, that means more than 20,000 people are infected at the present time. Of this group, I estimate that there are 1500 patients who are in the high-risk category (i.e. >60, immunocompromised, comorbidities, etc).
Given the urgency of the situation, I developed the following treatment protocol in the pre-hospital setting and have seen only positive results:
1. Any patient with shortness of breath regardless of age is treated.
2. Any patient in the high-risk category even with just mild symptoms is treated.
3. Young, healthy and low risk patients even with symptoms are not treated (unless their circumstances change and they fall into category 1 or 2).
My out-patient treatment regimen is as follows:
1. Hydroxychloroquine 200mg twice a day for 5 days
2. Azithromycin 500mg once a day for 5 days
3. Zinc sulfate 220mg once a day for 5 days
The rationale for my treatment plan is as follows. I combined the data available from China and South Korea with the recent study published from France (sites available on request). We know that hydroxychloroquine helps Zinc enter the cell. We know that Zinc slows viral replication within the cell. Regarding the use of azithromycin, I postulate it prevents secondary bacterial infections. These three drugs are well known and usually well tolerated, hence the risk to the patient is low.
Since last Thursday, my team has treated approximately 350 patients in Kiryas Joel and another 150 patients in other areas of New York with the above regimen.
Of this group and the information provided to me by affiliated medical teams, we have had ZERO deaths, ZERO hospitalizations, and ZERO intubations. In addition, I have not heard of any negative side effects other than approximately 10% of patients with temporary nausea and diarrhea.
In sum, my urgent recommendation is to initiate treatment in the outpatient setting as soon as possible in accordance with the above. Based on my direct experience, it prevents acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), prevents the need for hospitalization and saves lives.
With much respect,
Dr. Zev Zelenko

If this is true, then he needs to be removed from office immediately. Just as I thought....more proof that the democrat Governors are part of the problem. Their job is to create more panic and matters worse. I'm seeing it here in PA. I believe the people here are starting to see that Gov. Wolf is more of the problem than the solution. Gov Cuomo in every speech to the public, he creates panic. Now, this clown wants to stop the possible cure, this is unbelievable!!

'His order also limits a prescription to a 30-day supply so that people cannot find a way to stockpile the drug and ensure it’s available for “legitimate medical purposes.” '
“legitimate medical purposes.” means for himself and his clan.
You know, like the "medical masks don't work" disinformation campaign
back when this started.
So "first responders" and "medical personal" (i.e. the well connected)
could snag them all for themselves.
There were never going to be enough supply of anything to begin with,
(their responsibility)
and they decided you and your family were expendable,
and their doing it again.

Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine are administered to patients around the world by doctors who make case by case decisions on whether to prescribe it. These decisions are based on medical science.
Ironic that the party which castigates Republicans as being "anti-science" has decreed that doctors may no longer prescribe a medication to their patients. And all because some doofus ate fish tank cleaner? No, it's because President Trump said the medicine should be given a chance.
