Iran and the US Administration: Mocking
US Sanctions

Never before have sanctions been so ostentatiously disregarded without any seeming awareness by those violating them of the possible consequences. The US administration, it appears, has actually been funding Iran to attack Israel and itself. The Biden administration has provided a lifeline to the Iranian regime by providing it with much-needed financial relief to export more oil and terror. The evasions of US sanctions by Iran and its allies – largely thanks to the Biden administrations' sanctions waivers -- mark a new chapter in America's history. I'm sure Biden is willing to share this dubious honor with his mentor, Barack Obama, and his leg man, John Kerry. This is one of their greatest achievement. Not this country's, just theirs.

There are no consequences, the sanctions are only Joebama trying to hide the fact that there are no real sanctions.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that his government has voted unanimously to shut down the local offices of Qatar-owned broadcaster Al Jazeera, escalating Israel’s long-running feud with the channel at a time when cease-fire negotiations with Hamas — mediated by Qatar — are gaining steam. According to a statement from Netanyahu’s office, the decision goes into effect immediately. It could include closing the channel’s offices in Israel, confiscating broadcast equipment, preventing the broadcast of the channel’s reports and blocking its websites, among other measures, the statement said.

"What makes the future in this case darker is Sudan's history of hosting extremists and jihadists from the far right and far left. During the previous regime, Sudan hosted Osama bin Laden, leader of Al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Carlos the Jackal. This warm embrace of violent extremists earned Sudan a spot on the list of state sponsors of terrorism."— Areej Elhag, Washington Institute for Near East Policy, January 31, 2024. The bottom line for America and Europe is that the strategy of engaging and appeasing Iran has failed miserably. The U.S. and Europe must step up now to counter Iran's efforts in the Middle East and Sudan.

Hillary Cass, OBE, is a prominent and acclaimed British pediatrician. After four years of investigation, she just published her “Independent Review of Gender Identity Services for Children and Young People to the National Health Service (NHS) of the United Kingdom.” After she and her team reviewed the literature—100 plus studies on hormone and puberty blocker interventions—they concluded that there is “remarkably weak evidence” on the issues of efficacy and safety. They concluded that gender-affirming care should be offered with “extreme caution” or not at all for minors until better studies and more reliable evidence are available.

Jeffrey Epstein is going to name names — again. A mysterious “black book” believed to belong to the late pedophile financier, which revealed the names and addresses of 221 previously undisclosed people, is going up for auction — and bidders are being assured that their identities will be kept secret. It could fetch up to $200,000 — or more, the auction house owner told the Daily Beast, which first reported the story. The book was reportedly found on Fifth Avenue in the East Village by a female musician in the 1990s, but how it came to be there remains unclear to this day.

Happy Friday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. Delrubbyn felt that his cabbage and cardamom wine should have been a bigger hit at the Tri-County Kilt-Weaver Olympics. For years, the Democrats have been singularly obsessed with ruining Donald Trump's life. He is their White Whale. Much to their chagrin, Trump continues to refuse to have his life ruined by them. According to the Democrats' playbook and wildest dreams, these are supposed to be Trump's darkest days. He's in court rather than on the campaign trail, surrounded by biased jackals who have thrown judicial integrity down a toilet. They're not very competent jackals. President Biden, urged by allies and detractors to speak out about pro-Palestinian demonstrations coast-to-coast, used the White House on Thursday as his backdrop to blast protesters who use violence and vandalism to make their points at colleges and universities. If he’s worried about alienating young voters over policy in Gaza, Biden did not let it show in his stern prepared remarks, arguing it was not a time to play politics. Protesters will not alter his support for Israel and condemnations of Hamas, he said, nor will he react by deploying the National Guard to disperse demonstrators who are otherwise being dealt with by university administrators and local police.

Joshua Dean, a Boeing whistleblower who warned of manufacturing defects in the planemaker’s 737 Max, has died after a short illness, the second Boeing whistleblower to die this year. Dean, 45, a former quality auditor at Boeing supplier Spirit AeroSystems, filed a complaint with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) alleging “serious and gross misconduct by senior quality management of the 737 production line” at Spirit. In 2018 and 2019, two 737 Max planes were involved in fatal crashes, which killed 346 people. Dean was fired by Spirit last year, and filed a complaint with the Department of Labor alleging that his termination was in retaliation for raising safety concerns.

Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke admitted Wednesday that she was arrested and chose not to disclose the legal matter during her Senate confirmation process because it had been expunged from her record. During her 2021 confirmation process, Clarke, who now heads the Justice Department’s civil rights division, was asked by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) in a questionnaire if she’d “ever been arrested for or accused of committing a violent crime against any person.” To which Clarke responded, “No.” The Daily Signal reported on Tuesday that Clarke was arrested in Maryland in relation to a domestic violence complaint back in 2006.

The death toll from a collapsed highway in southeastern China climbed to 48 on Thursday as searchers dug for a second day through a treacherous and mountainous area. One side of the four-lane highway in the city of Meizhou gave way about 2 a.m. on Wednesday after a month of heavy rains in Guangdong province. Twenty-three vehicles fell down a steep slope, some sending up flames as they caught fire. Construction cranes were used to lift out the burnt-out and mutilated vehicles. Officials in Meizhou said three other people were unidentified, pending DNA testing. It wasn’t immediately clear if they had died, which would bring the death toll to 51.

Mr. Gipson argued in the analysis that if such priority can be granted to veterans, similar standards should be applicable to African-American applicants. Former Navy SEAL and Representative Scott Taylor (R-VA) tweeted his concerns after the curriculum was reportedly shared with him, stating, “This was sent to me, classes at U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

The Alabama Supreme Court has authorized the execution of a death row inmate who previously survived after being given a lethal injection. The convict, Alan Eugene Miller, will now receive execution by nitrogen gas, the Washington Examiner reported. Alabama’s high court authorized the method in a decision Thursday. Republican Gov. Kay Ivey has not set the date for Miller’s execution. Once it’s carried out, Miller will become the second death row inmate to die by nitrogen gas in the state. However, the method has become controversial among liberal death penalty opponents. After being convicted of killing three men during a 1999 workplace shooting, Miller was set to die by lethal injection.

I’m old. So old that I still believe that classic Western liberalism is the best system for assuring prosperity and peace, and authoritarianism, particularly of a theocratic nature, is a disastrous governance style. Watching the encampments and riots on college campuses, I see that too many young people have missed this lesson and instead support violent, barbaric, theocratic authoritarianism. I think these participants are not representative of a majority of students or voters and that the weak responses of some universities bode ill for their futures. Moreover.

He’s been in the U.S. ever since in a bizarre legal limbo. He can’t qualify for citizenship and Cuba has refused to take him back, so he’s been stuck on “parole.” He remains here with only the barest of legal protections and cannot get a green card. He is decidedly not a citizen. That did not, however, stop him from showing up at an early-voting location in North Carolina on Nov. 5, 2016, where he not only registered and claimed to be a citizen, but also
