The city declared a public health emergency following an outbreak in a single-room occupancy hotel in Long Beach. A tuberculosis outbreak among residents of a single-room occupancy hotel in Long Beach has left one person dead and led to the hospitalizations of nine others, prompting the declaration of a public health emergency, city officials said Thursday. The city Department of Health and Human Services insists the risk of exposure to the general public is low, with the outbreak restricted to a "distinct population" of people with "significant barriers to care, including homelessness and housing insecurity, mental illness, substance abuse and serious medical comorbidities."

Great idea, #4. Ellis Island has been restored over the years, so it should be all ready to hold the Illegals who are enjoying the comfort of a Cushy Hotel Room with Food and maid service. Roll them out of Bed and put them on a Boat to the Island where they can be vetted and given Shots to prevent them bring back Diseases we haven't seen in 60 years! Don't want to go to the Island. You then will be on the first Plane back to your country. No more freebies in this country. Sorry! Love that idea!! Probably wouldn't happen under Biden, but I would hope Trump would take a look at that idea!!

If any immigrant showed up sick at Ellis Island they were put in quarantine on their ship and returned back to whence they came at the ship owner's expense. You can bet they were checked carefully beforehand.

Eventually, without outside support (to be specific, welfare money) all the junkies living on the street would eventually die off from some disease or other. It's a kind of natural selection happening right before our eyes.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — A shootout that killed four law enforcement officers and wounded four others in North Carolina began as officers approached a home to serve a warrant for a felon wanted for possessing a firearm, police said. Some of the officers who rushed to the Charlotte neighborhood Monday afternoon to rescue the first wave of downed officers were wounded as a second shooter began firing on them after they killed the wanted man, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Johnny Jennings said. It was the deadliest day for U.S. law enforcement in one incident since five officers were killed by a sniper during a protest in Dallas in 2016.

The Biden administration paused the shipment of thousands of bombs to Israel last week because of its concerns about an Israeli invasion of Rafah, the last remaining Hamas stronghold in the Gaza Strip. The shipment was meant to transfer 3,500 bombs to Israel, which the United States halted over worries about the larger munitions in the package being used in an urban setting, an anonymous administration official told the Associated Press. U.S. officials were concerned about how the 500-pound and 2,000-pound bombs could be used in a dense urban setting. The pause marks the first time the U.S. has publicly held up military aid to Israel since the October 7
